Harry Singh's Original Caribbean Restaurant

I came to purchase food yesterday. It looked like a ghost town. I was so excited to get roti. Sigh.

Regretted purchasing the chicken curry roti. Look at it! $17 for that sad looking meal. Not worth it.

I feel that everyone should visit Harry Singhs in Minneapolis if they ever get the chance. He's arguably the best Caribbean cook in the state, an amazing human being, AND he is a one man operation. Cook, call taker, server, cleaner, etc.

Ive been coming here for 15 years and plan on going until he retires. Try the jerk roti and beef patties. Go give em some love, yall!!!

Atmosphere - it's a time capsule, but that's half the charm of his business

Food - you can't go wrong; try the roti for sure!!

Price - affordable ($5-15 per dish)

PS - Don't forget to take home a bottle of his homemade, original signature sauce. It definitely lives up to its label~ Oh God - It's Hot!

This is the real deal! The experience was amazing. Tried the famous jerk chicken. Was advised to order as is (and no extra spice) and to not try to be a hero. Well, that was excellent advice because it was HOT! It was a real journey from my plate to you know where. I loved it even though I'm not used to eating spicy foods. The owner served us and told us about his food made from scratch. I will never forget this day. Thank you Mr. Singh! So many diverse people came into the restaurant and placed phone orders while we were eating. It was obvious that we were in the company of greatness.

This place was absolutely fabulous. Food was amazing with a great spice to it. Definitely follow Harry's advice and get the jerk chicken. Although the shrimp fried rice was also delicious. Harry was also a wonderful host. Can't wait to come back.

Being here wakens the senses! The aromas are wonderful, and the casual, laid back atmosphere makes me feel like I’ve left the USA and am on vacation somewhere warm. Plus, Harry’s signature hot sauce will slap you in the mouth, get you high, and mock what level of spicy you think you can handle. ? Thrilled to have this underdog of a restaurant back!!!!
