Great bar, fantastic staff, and a giant cribbage board!
Corn dog beer is amazing!
What a great atmosphere! The drink selection is well crafted, the staff is attentive, and the location is unique. Though I prefer IPA’s, the sour featuring cola and red wine was excellent.
This brewery had a great vibe and a ton of seating. We also got to enjoy live music during our visit. They were very accommodating with what sizes of beers are available to purchase and they were quite flavorful.
I think Headflyer is in my top three breweries in the Twin Cities... Might even be my favorite! They have a nice location, lots of parking, and their beer is top-notch. Lots of love to the staff, too!
I visited this brewery Saturday night with my wife while we were in town from Asheville (Beer City). We always like to check out local breweries when we travel to compare experiences.
I ordered a flight, and the person behind the bar asked for my ID—which I assumed was for an age check. Instead, he used it to verify the name on my debit card. I found that pretty insulting.
Who steals a card and then goes out for craft beer with their family? The assumption was unnecessary and offensive. To make matters worse, the beer was mediocre at best.
Good luck with your staff and whatever training they’re getting. The experience left a bad taste in more ways than one.
Replying to your response: As I stated clearly above, he was not checking my ID to confirm my age — and you already knew that. Your response only confirms the type of management behind this operation. I didn’t expect a candid or honest reply, and unfortunately, that expectation was met.
This line of business should be approached with humility, not unwarranted arrogance. At the end of the day, you're running a craft beer business — nothing more. Best of luck because you will need it.
Great spot for a Twolves game, nice patio in the summer
slushy good
This has been my favorite brewery since 2019. It's super laid back and there's plenty of room to bring the doggos along.
Nice brews

Would not work with this venue again, they do not operate in good faith with their artists.
They intentionally lied and misled a group of full-time working artists, and will probably continue to do so moving forward, as venues like this tend to fall into habit of mistreating acts
Disappointing to say the least, I would not support live entertainment here. I can guarantee you the money is not going and the hands of the performers or producers putting on the events, as it should.
If you are a performer or producer yourself, please look elsewhere, there are many other fantastic venues in the nearby neighborhoods that are worth supporting and working with.

Solid beer selection and they have a lot of fun events outside or in their event space.
Stopped in on Feb 1 to try a beer release and beer poking. HeadFlyer has a solid selection of beer of great variety. The taproom is a part of an old textile building shared with other businesses. Definitely a cool spot, even though it could be crowded. The patio outside is spacious, but also looks like it could be crowded easily. They also have the Wolf's Den where they have watch parties for Timberwolf games. Overall, staff was pretty top notch. It did seem like one of the staff was just annoyed about everything. Maybe that's just their way of operating. Overall, this is definitely a brewery to visit for the first time or 100th time to enjoy a beer.
We see Santa with the pups every year. Always a good time!
