We arrived shortly before 8 on a game day and got seated right away. There were 4 of us and none of us had any complaints with our meals and service. My Bloody Mary was one of the best ones I’ve had in a long time.

This place was highly recommended. I was in town on business and decided to give this place a try. The food and service did not disappoint. I had the farm wife’s omelet and it was absolutely delicious! The service was great also! The decor is cute and inviting. The prices were reasonable. I will definitely be back! If you’re ever in town, do not sleep on this place.
Amazingly tasty good, super friendly staff, fast seating and service, and such great value for your money. We love it so much we came the three days we were in Minneapolis!
Great breakfast!! And breakfast cocktails!! The staff was super friendly. Our food choices were very good and the Bloody Mary was perfect!
I love this restaurant. The atmosphere is fun, the service great, the food delicious and the price is reasonable. I had corned beef hash, my go to breakfast, and was delighted. I will always eat here when I’m in Minneapolis.
The food was ok. I got a chorizo, mushroom, and cheese omelet, the mushrooms made it soggy and wet. The toast was used to as a sponge to absorb the water. My friend got the babes egg Benedict and liked it. Only knocking a couple stars because I watched one of the waiters scoop ice with a glass cup which is a huge safety hazard. I tried to tell a waitress but I don’t think she understood. Overall good food, but maybe some safety training courses.
great diner, like anyone will tell you.
Place has good food! Taste was perfect! Ordered veggie omelet with avocado and topped it with hollandaise sauce and salsa verda. Also, French toast and chicken and waffles!
Atmosphere is busy but not overly loud and service was great. Will return in visiting the area again.

i lost my purse their last sunday and they were nothing but unhelpful, i was in contact with the owner for a couple days and i once i told her my PASSPORT was in my bag she immediately put more attention at my message, she said she would ask the staff if they saw it, its now been a week later and i’ve sent 2 more emails and no reply… weird right, almost like they have my black shoulder bag with my passport.
Gut busting portions of excellent breakfast food I got the Cinnamon French toast and I didn't need to eat for the rest of the day I got a $4.50 charge randomly (service tax?) and the prices seem high but you do get a crazy amount of food. would return.
We got there Saturday morning at between 7:15 and 7:30. They opened at 7. Our server took 10 minutes to come over (side note: only 3 other tables seated, not in his section at this time) and take our order for the two of us. As more people started to come in and order, we watched them get their food and leave before our food came. I had to go us and say something since he never checked on us. After 45 minutes of waiting. We finally got our food. This is the second time I have been to The Hen House and disappointed. Last time it was the food.
The avocado coffee is incredible. Seriously give it a try!
I have eaten here before but with better service and food. My daughter got a hair on her omelette. My cappuccino was awful. Our waiter should consider a new profession. I asked for jelly for my toast when I placed the order then when food arrived I asked for it again then after 10 minutes I had to get my own jelly. Very disappointed!!!!
