For 20 years (2004) and two remodels (the enclosed patio and the walls) it's been a staple for my friend and I for Cantonese when on break from the University. I am going to be sad to see it go next week, but will enjoy stopping by one last time before they go.

Such a huge loss for UMN community as it moves to Bloomington. Delectable and economical options are just what college students(and staff) want. The staff is always friendly and responsive. Love noodles, hot pot dishes and lunch menu here. Thanks for the past 3 years!

Visiting Minneapolis and hv bn here 3 consecutive days! Good portion and tasty food. The dim sum flavor is perfect, not too salty.

The servers at HKN took the time to know and remember me at some point, which is astonishing because I don’t consider myself a very memorable person.

They know where I like to sit and what I like to order, and they make me feel genuinely welcome.

The food is great and they give you a lot of it.

Sitting and eating in the glass patio while it is raining is a wonderful and surreal experience.

I had planned to eat at this restaurant during my second night in Minneapolis.

I immediately saw that this place was PACKED. This wouldn’t have been so bad if they didn’t cram tables and chairs in wherever they could, including in close proximity to other tables. Having a limited selection of seating, I was not looking forward to eating within arm’s length of strangers.

As I was seated, I was directed to scan a code on the table to see the menu and place my order; apparently in the eyes of those running this place, a clunky mobile site works better than a well-organized paper or laminated menu, as well as ordering with a human server.

As I was browsing the digital menu, which auto-reloaded more than once, I discovered that nearly every entree had a price at or near $20. Thinking that was too high a price for just an entree, I asked whether the entrees included anything else, to which I was told only white rice.

At this point, I was fed up; unfortunately, not from their food, which I ultimately ordered none. I told the server, “for $20, I can probably get more food if I went somewhere else.” Then I stood up and left.

Ordered delivery and forgot to add sweet and sour sauce on the app, so I called the restaurant with the request. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very kind and gave me plenty sides of the sauce I needed. Food was excellent and I had a great dinner at my hotel room. If I was local, I would order here again. If I come back to the city, I know where to go for Chinese cravings. Thank you for the great food & customer service.

Picked up lunch. Order was crab Rangoon, beef chow fun and Hong Kong BBQ pork lo mein. Everything was excellent and both of us have enough for lunch tomorrow. Will order again.

Shrimp dumplings are flavorful, wrapping are on the thicker side and falls apart, preferred it a bit more chewy personally. Same goes for the other Chiu Chow dumpling, as this is one of my favorite dim sum dish, a bit disappointed as it missed the whole deep fried peanut in it, only diced semi-fresh fried peanut... A good fried crunchy peanut in my opinion is the STAR of this dish. Duck leg with wonton noodle is good. Lava bun wasn't lava enough but got good bun texture, a little dense though. Steam beef ball is a bit weak in flavor. To say the least, very glad they open on the Christmas day!

They don’t tell you that the combo fried rice is regular rice with eggs, and the large fried rice has no flavor highly disappointed for 41 dollars the chicken does not have any spice like general tso normal does I would not recommend gave it two stars cause the food was hot only benefit.there is a restaurant next door SIDEWALK is amazing I wish I would’ve went there instead of trying something new.

BEWARE of this extra charge! I had dim sum with my family at HK Noodle. When I was given the bill to pay. I noticed a $4 fee? When I asked the young lady at the register. She was not able to explain what the $4 extra charge was and made up a BS explanation. This is a Chinese custom. We charge extra $4 for dim sum tradition!? I am Chinese and have NEVER heard of this nonsense. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. MANY OTHER BETTER PLACE ON CAMPUS.
