The food was just horrible the inside of this place was very disgusting we were just passing by till we got back on the highway. SAD 😔

Sarah the Manager did not exude management material. I called regarding a Doordash order that was delivered with some added ingredients I never asked for. The restaurant was contact by myself via phone and I worked with the Manager that I was going to put in another order and it was going to be delivered to the same location. The Manager (Sarah), agreed, but then when contacted by Doordash, cancelled my order (for whatever reason). I do not tolerate this type of service. I did nothing wrong. I even was cool about putting in another order despite the efforts already put forth - It's a basic order, that a basic employee couldn't follow. Common sense is DEFINITELY NOT common when it comes to Hook Fish & Chicken on Lake St. Go somewhere else to eat better food and receive better service, in a better environment.
Don't be fooled by the other reviews of this place. I'm going to be blunt and whoever take it a type of way that's between you and your higher power - most of the reviewers leaving good reviews about the Manager is of the same ethnicity and they are from women. So when a male is expecting this same service, it's definitely unfair - discrimination. If you're black - go somewhere else. If you want good food, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. IF you happen to driving past and get hungry, hit that accelerator, AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
And those of you who eat here, you may want to watch for rat droppings - #WatchYourStep - Thanks. :-)

Fish was mushy and possibly undercooked. Good portion size though. No cocktail sauce for the shrimp. Interior of restaurant is very run down.
I asked that my food be fried hard including thy fries. My fries were under cooked wings small and taste like they was fried in old cooking oil. It's sad how much they charge but just serve customers anything I would not go back there the one in Columbia heights is way better I'm very disappointed and still hungry waste of time money and gas and they don't answer the phone which is crazy because it was empty in there but I should had took that as a clue

The place was nice and clean the service was nice I had a great experience thanks to the excellent customer service at this location. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure I found everything I needed The girl in the register is young but she’s so smart she knows my orders without saying she always helps me to find what’s best the food is delicious even the cooks they are so friendly nowadays it’s hard to find people like them Honestly, the place wouldn’t be the same without her. She’s a true gem and a big reason I keep coming back!

Jumbo Shrimp is the best with the lemon pepper seasoning. They used to have a small (7) & a large order. Now they only have a 10 piece. Broken Glass all over the parking lot & do Not use their bathroom - Filthy!
