We went to India Kutir on a wendsday evening for my partners birthday. The server got us a free app and we ordered 3 entrees to share. All 3 were excellent with the Lamb Curry being the stand out. Service was excellent as well. 5/5 will return might only order 2 entrees next time. We had lots of leftovers.

The food here is really good. A professor had suggested here over another Indian restaurant and I was not disappointed.

4.5/5
I got the chicken vindaloo, vegetable samosa, and garlic naan for carryout. The vindaloo was absolutely delicious, lots of flavor, fresh spices, and the medium spice was right at the level where I noticed it was spicy but it wasn't uncomfortable. The garlic naan was also very good. The samosas were a little weaker, and seemed like maybe they were fried at too low a temperature, although they were fine.

I was disappointed that $30 (after a 10% coupon) for chicken vindaloo, garlic naan, and vegetable samosas, I didn't get any rice. I absolutely expected that it would come with rice, but looking back at the menu I see rice would have cost me an additional $3. Overall the $30 price would be a little high regardless, but adding another $3 for rice really pushes it above what I'm generally willing to spend on random weeknight takeout.

I do hope they stay in business, the restaurant was completely empty at 7pm on a Wednesday when I went in to pick up my carryout. They may want to consider dropping their prices a little -- I can get dinner at Soberfish, including rice, for under $25.

This is a South Minneapolis gem. All food we tried was very delicious. The Tandoori salmon was a surprise with terrific flavor, spiced perfectly. The service is attentive and kind. We will be coming back often. Great a casual sit down meal or take out.
