Good cinnamon rolls…not great cinnamon rolls. And there is a difference! Their customer service and staff are the biggest highlight of this place. Whoever voted this place as “America’s Best Cinnamon Rolls” needs to report to the principal office and not for a good reason.
Very delicious cinnamon bun. The cream they add on the top is so delicious. Nice decoration. You can find some art works on the walls for sale. Nice idea it makes you feel like you’re in an art gallery. Friendly staff. And very nice atmosphere. 16$ for two coffees and 2 buns. Highly recommended it.
Ended up here because of a viral video. Mid-morning, waited about 10 minutes to get in the door to order.
Went with the cinnamon roll. Very good, size of your head, so it could easily serve two. Straight up Americano coffee.
Wife got the Puppy dog tail (A smaller cinnamon strip) with a PILE of whipped icing. Glad I tried the cinnamon roll to have the experience, but honestly if I was in a position to visit regularly I'd go with the Puppy dog tail. Higher ratio of sugar, cinnamon, and icing to bread.
Efficient and friendly staff, a well-oiled bun making machine. They make the buns right in front of you just behind the counter! (Per a request from our server I did not photograph the process so as to not include the staff's faces) Hard to hear inside when it's busy. Good amount of seating outside.
Street parking. Pay attention so you don't get a ticket or towed.
Best ever? Certainly one of the best I've ever had!
Liked the cinnamon bun but loved loved the display of photographs from Istanbul on the walls. We are visiting from Turkey and noticed the pictures on the wall right away. We enjoyed our coffee and sweet roll. The young man that served us didn’t see like he wanted to be there but it was kind of comical.
WARNING: This is NOT the best Cinnamon Roll!
Please lower your expectations so you wont be dissapointed. I got the cinnamon roll and pecan bun. Both are really Bready. It is not sticky, not gooey and Lacks frosting.
I dont mind waiting in long lines for food if it is worth it. But this is average at best. Similar to the cinnamon rolls you get at the hotel breakfast buffet. Even when I was given a batch fresh from the oven. I wont buy this even if there are no lines.
But to be fair, service was really fast once you get to the counter. What I love about this visit is the amount of pecan they put on their pecan bun. There is atleast 300g of pecan on top of that bun! I dont think I will ever encounter any other pastry with that amount of pecan in this lifetime.
Also, this is the first time I had to write a review about a restaurant. I am that dissapointed 😞
This place was not worth the hype. We went on a Saturday morning. The line was long, but it moved efficiently. The inside has some tables but it felt kind of shabby. There are interesting and I'm sure delightful coffee choices available We had sticky buns and caramel buns with nuts on top and I don't know who voted these the best buns in the world, but the bar was not set very high. Our buns were big with lots of bread (not very moist bread; kind of dry) and not very much topping. The rolls with nuts had a lot of nuts on them. I would say it wasn't worth standing in line for that long.
Delicious freshly made cinnamon buns. Don’t miss out on the less popular caramel pecan buns!

These are the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had in my life. As soon as you step inside, the sweet, sugary aroma fills the air. The women who work here are incredibly kind as well.

Excellent service even though they were very busy. After a frustrating cinnamon roll wait, a staff member was very helpful and we really appreciated it! Great place, definitely go here. If you want a cinnamon roll but they tell you that they aren't ready yet, you have to reserve one.

Amazing. I had the puppy talks and they were delicious. Messed up my order but the amazing staff made it work anyway. This place is a must try.

Hearded as "THE WORLD'S BEST ROLLS" I was really excited to give Isles a try after frequenting other popular spots along 35 headed to Duluth, plus Mom's homemade ones always sit at the top of the list. Stopping through on my weekly day in the office downtown, traffic coming off the finished portion of Hennepin wasn't bad & finding a meter on the street in the morning was a breeze. As I walked into the small yet homely storefront as the sun kissed the sideway to the entry I was amazed at what they crank out in such a small space with such a delectable selection of pastries! I couldn't stop at just the one roll: i snagged a caramel from the fresh pan and one more iced (with the extra dollop) for sharing with, and gobbled down the warm and gooey caramel and soft dough quickly! Cant want to share the rest and think about the next stop thru!

My girlfriend and I went into Isles bun in the afternoon and were disappointed to hear that they were sold out of their pizza and big buns. But they said they still had their bun tails which are only 2 dollars each. We went for that, and they ended up giving us like a looot extra. Plus these are very tasty. And the vibe inside is nice
