Service was fantastic--attentive and friendly. I loved the atmosphere, due to the low lighting and the moody colors; however, the music cranked up super high at 7:00, which made conversation difficult. Everyone in my group liked the food; my only gripe is that my sesame chicken was super salty, which made other flavors in less complex. I want to return, however, and check out the sushi, which looked amazing! Prices were higher than I anticipated, also.

I really wanted to give the food 5 stars. I'm so honestly nice and I know how hard restaurants work, but I literally spent over $180 and I just have to throw everything out. We should've just went to a chinese buffet. I'm not saying this place is bad, I'm just saying I should've gone fast food. Take that how you want to.

Unhelpful, and rude customer service. Would not suggest to others. There are other sushi spots in the area.

For years, this restaurant USED to be our favorite place to eat. Tonight the experience was absolutely HORRIBLE. The food tasted old, spoiled, mushy and greasy. The shrimp was not cleaned properly. We sent back 2 of the dishes.
The manager returned with the food in his hands and was incredibly rude, pushing the dishes in our faces (I had to ask him to get the bowl out of my face) he was yelling and causing a scene. He proceeded to tell us that no one ever complains about the food. He left and returned still yelling, clapping his hands in our faces and told us to leave.
The employees were so apologetic, but not the manager. I haven’t ever been verbally assaulted by anyone working in a restaurant before, and it was so bad I feel like others should know what happened.
I would not eat here again. The manager was so out of line and I do not feel like the food is safe to eat.
I would give them no stars if I could.

All is good but scallops are my favorite. The sauce is amazing. Great customer service!

Great restaurant! Always amazing service and you can tell they put care into what they cook. Our favorites have been the zombie rolls and the general tso chicken. Drinks are very reasonably priced as well. Support them during the Hennepin construction!
Dietary restrictions: My wife has a dairy and nut allergy. They were very accommodating and made her feel safe.

A bit pricey, but the food, atmosphere, and service were all stellar.
Parking: Small parking lot in the back that's a little tight but it wasn't busy when we went.

Kiku Bistro is an Uptown staple and I just am praying they survive this construction project! I had the best vegetarian sushi roll of my life in person there the other day, the secret garden roll. ? They do speedy takeout, I sometimes order at home and walk the 10 minutes there and it’s done!
Vegetarian options: Great miso tofu, veggie gyoza, veggie lo mein, and rolls!

We visited Kiku on a support Uptown mission. Holy cow, did we find a hidden gem! We felt kind of bad that there weren't many people in there, but with the construction out front, it's hard to get to. We sat at the sushi bar, and all I can say is the Chefs did an amazingly good job. The Chefs were very interactive with us. We had a few dietary needs, and it wasn't an issue one bit. We will be back as soon as possible.

Sushi is terrible. Doesn’t match the pictures. Overpriced and mostly rice.

Kiku bistro is a go to spot! They are always so quick, consistent, and the service is prompt. There is a day side and night side happy hour, which makes the food very affordable. The chefs also go above and beyond to make a special plate for you. The past couple times I’ve gone out to Kiku, they have made me a little bear out of an orange. They also have plenty of vegetarian options which is great. Please don’t forget about this gem of a place!

Crunchy tofu not in a stir fry
The restaurant was dead like no one was there. So I m not sure how a cook drops tofu in a fryer and fry it to a crisp but this is what I got. The tofu was so hard it was crunchy and hard. I order a stir fry Mongolian style. It was extremely salty and I assumed there would be vegetables…nope just tofu now if it wasn’t so hard to chew the amount of tofu would have been a great quantity.
