Very good Korean food. Portions are a bit small and ether don't give you a lot of kimchi, but the flavor and selection are perfect.

The food is phenomenal, I came here twice during my 3 days trip to Minnesota. The service is quick and efficient, the Ramen is one of the best I had. I will definitely come back again.

The last time I visited it was packed so we ended up ordering to go. I really liked the tteokbokki so I figured I’d try and dine in.
I got the opportunity to take an early lunch on Friday so I decided to go to Kimchi Tofu House. I got there at about 11 right when they open. I wasn’t the first one in and around 11:30 all the tables were filled.
I ordered the seafood tofu stew and it was spicy and flavorful and delicious. It came out piping hot along with an egg to add in. The tteokbokki was just as good as it was when I first had it.
Waitresses are very warm and friendly, service was fast but because there isn’t a lot of seating it was hard not to bump into someone.
Nonetheless, now that I’ve gotten an opportunity to eat here more than once I understand why it’s so popular around campus. Highly recommend!

Order hot dishes only! Their bibimbop uses veggies that have sat out and gone bad. The cooked spinach seems particularly inconsistent. I've fooled myself a few times already and while sometimes all is good there have been more than a couple of times that this dish got me sick.

The food wasn’t as good as I thought it’d be which is fine, I probably ordered something looking for something else as I wanted to try something I saw on social media but the customer service I would give 0 stars if I could. The young girl acted like I bothered her from the moment she sat me up until I asked for togo boxes. Her conversation was short and strict- just not welcoming. The restaurant already got 6 tables as it is, you should greet and treat each customer with great customer service to make up for the small heated (when it’s almost 90 degrees outside already) restaurant. It just wasn’t welcoming for me especially when i spent $40 on an appetizer and one of the hot rice bowls + a can soda. Maybe it was a bad day but I wouldn’t try again.

Introduced 2 friends to this hole in the wall place for lunch. Efficient service, small menu, and fantastic foods.

Hiding down a side-street, Korean Tofu Kitchen is definitely a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Walking in, especially during the busy hours, the crowded atmosphere is right in your face. Limited and tight seating make navigating a little bit of an awkward endeavor, not only for the patrons but the servers too. Despite the packed restaurant, it’s evident that the food is good enough to warrant a line and I saw several patrons waiting for a seat to open up. I myself grabbed takeout.
The menu seemed straight forward, though the nature of the dinner special – a stew, meat, and sides combination – was a little confusing for me to understand at first. And the person manning the counter seemed patient, albeit not the best at explaining things. Not unexpected at local mom-and-pop hole-in-the wall restaurants.
I eventually ordered the bulgogi dinner special with seafood stew, at a medium spiciness level. The food only took around ten minutes to come out and was packed in well thought out boxes – keeping everything segregated to combine at my leisure. Though a little on the expensive side, the volume of food was impressive as well – the stew lasted me three meals.
The beef was thinly cut savory slices on a bed of crisp vegetables and with plenty of broth. The sides were a variety of spicy kimchi, fried tofu, and pickled bean sprouts that added unique flavors to the savory bulgogi and stew. The stew was packed with tofu and a few seafood morsels, coming with a side of plain white rice.
However, here’s a warning. Whatever spice level you think you can handle, order one rung below. I consider myself well accustomed to the heat, but even just the medium spiciness level overwhelmed my senses and made eating the stew a little bit of a chore. Additionally, my own folly, but I would not recommend the combination of the bulgogi and seafood stew. They were both delicious separately, but combined added a little too much variety in the flavor profile.

OK, it’s a hole in the wall, yes but the kimchi tofu stew is the best in town. Nothing beats going to this place in the dead of winter when it’s freezing outside and having this delicious soup
If you’re going over the lunch hour, be sure to get there early or go for a late lunch because the place will be packed and there’s not very many seats.
