The service here is always wonderful - attentive, without being pushy. Happy hour is absolutely the time to treat yourself without getting too spendy - I love that the happy hour menu has so many options; you can put together a very nice meal.

Been here 4 times just this year, it is THE spot for my sushi craving, the only comparably better place in the state is Kado no mise, that’s how good it is. The rice and vinegar balance is perfection - subtlety sweet and savory like fresh, slightly fermented grains. Soft yet never mushy. The kanpyo roll with the calabash gourd is the perfect texture with the rice, and their other offerings like pressed sushi and nigiri use a well respected seafood supplier that high end sushi places in the city use. The ramen is savory and authentic. I see complaints that the maki is small, keep in mind that they don’t have rice on the outside…California rolls originated from you guessed it, California…

Reasonable happy hour with a nice variety of options. Chirashi sushi bowl was a little light on the fish with only 3 pieces, but a nice variety of pickles and such. The fish was good quality however. Great service!

BEST Japanese food I've had in Minnesota hands down! The staff was very friendly, made sure we had everything we needed at all times. I would recommend the Kara-age , and the ramen. If you like authentic Japanese food, then this is your place!!! Definitely deserves more praise ???

Awesome wait staff. Attentive and nice. Cool variety of food. We got the sobu hot dog which was good and fun. The salmon sushi was very fresh. My friend got the curry and loved it. We were so full that we couldn't eat dessert but it looked good!

Great restaurant with lots of options and very family friendly.
Food and service are great. I love all the Japanese bar food style options and sushi. The shishito peppers and karaage and yakitori were my favorite. Fun little place. I will be visiting again! Anything they cook over their little charcoal grills is great!

We ate here recently for the first time, trying a variety of sushi, ramen, and a gyoza appetizer. The gyoza was disappointing, burned on the bottom, with an overly pressed filling with poor texture. The sushi was alright. We had avocado rolls and salmon rolls. Both were good, if not standout. The veggie ramen was very flavorful and tasty. The pork belly ramen had a broth that tasted burnt. Maybe too much salt. Both were very large and quite filling.Service was very good, with attentive servers and relatively quick delivery. Gratuity is included in the menu prices. I’m indifferent to the practice, but they could do a better job of communicating the policy.We felt the bill was a bit high for what we got, but we’ll probably give it another shot in the future.

Kyatchi is different, and it works. The qualty of fish is consistently wonderful, but they also have many super satisfying vegetarian options and a nice sake selection. Keep in mind that service (tip) is worked into the pricing. You will be cared for attentively and efficiently!
