This was my husband and l favorite place for sushi for years but lately we’ve been getting really bad service yesterday we went to eat there for Valentines. They only had one server and the cookers. We’re not doing there job right the food was coming out really cold without flavor and the sushi I was really disappointed. Sorry, but not returning no more to this place. Looking for a better place with a better service and better food.

DO NOT eat at this place unless you want to be sent to the hospital. My friend, whose favorite food is sushi and enjoys it all the time, got severe scromboid poisoning and had horrible anaphylactic shock that resulted in a hefty ER bill. The only way to get the poisoning is from old fish that has begun to breakdown protein and form histamine, the activator for allergic reactions within any person. She tried reaching out multiple times to the owner, who feined concern over her situation - offered to pay her bill post-insurance, and then continuously dropped her calls and ghosted her when my friend did not hear any news back. this is a ridiculous spot that hurts their customers and clearly does not care about the consequences. save your time and your health before this place literally kills someone.

Terrible service from the women working the front desk this Saturday 02/07. Called to make a simple take out order of chicken fried rice, the women who took my order was very impatient on the phone and without even letting me know a price or pickup time proceeded to hang up the phone after taking my order. When I arrived she had made my order incorrect and had given me seafood fried rice. I politely told the women that I had ordered chicken fried rice and she responded with “no you didn’t this is what you ordered”. I have never eaten seafood fried rice nor would I ever so I am absolutely certain I did not order this and this is also no way to speak to customers. I told her to cancel my order for her rude behavior and when I called back in to speak to a manager it was this same women who continued to say “no manager here” and then proceeded to hang up. This is unacceptable service.

The service was poor, not only was she unfriendly but she ignored us multiple times and would not even set our dishes in front of us. The rolls with cooked fish were okay but the raw fish was slimy and discolored. The terayaki chicken and chicken fried rice were underwhelming. There is not a changing table in the restroom. The dining room is cold. We will not be eating here again.

Great all-you-can-eat menu, reasonable wait-time inbetween ordering your choices, reasonably priced as well.

Significant other and I love coming here.

I've never had this happen but if you do order excess food that isn't eaten, they may add an additional fee.

Went this weekend and we were very disappointed with the sushi. We ordered unagi and the rice was hard and the eel was cold. Also, I ordered others and the rice to fish ratio was ridiculous. I wanted sushi and not rice!

It really is a hit or miss to eat at Kyoto. Eagan location I think is better.

Service was solid though but the restaurant was pretty empty.

Hopefully they improve the rice to fish ratio and make sure the rice isn’t hard.

Service was very subpar. Was surprised until I saw the bill, I don’t mind auto 19% gratuity but I still want service.. what a weird vibe. Also sushi was very fishy. Not sure if it’s a fresh thing.. definitely one of a kind spot

Went here yesterday around 7:30pm to treat my friend for her bday . The AC hasn’t worked for months. The older lady is terribly rude and it took us ordering the same thing multiple times for us to eventually get our order. I assume they forgot about us since we were sat all the way in the back. I can see they are frazzled because they forgot to give us the basics like enough plates, utensils and wasabi had to wave them down. When asked if we were getting our food was rudely pointed out how it’s cooking (10mn+ waiting for it already) and there is still one piece of the roll on our plate….This is a place I come quite often and also bring my whole family for years that won’t be happening anymore.

I was very disappointed. We came in at 8:00 p.m. yesterday, and my stomach is still fighting. The waiters were very self-righteous. It took a very long time to take the order, and they often served the wrong dishes or reduced the quantity.

The quality of the food is acceptable; however, the service has been notably disappointing. Despite our party of three ordering three rolls and a couple of hot dishes, the server declined to accept further orders until we finished. For all-you-can-eat? I reassured her that this is only half of what we can actually consume and that I was in a time crunch. She then intentionally avoided our table for the remaining time. This is not the first instance of this occurring. Considering this, what is the purpose of an all-you-can-eat arrangement if there are intentional limitations on the quantity of food that can be ordered?

I went for the “all you can eat” option, food was alright, what can you expect. The service slooooooww, not a lot of people in the restaurant. Is decent.
