LA BODEGA TACO BAR #3

As a Texan, I have missed many Mexican meals while living here. I was fortunate to stumble upon Bodega Taco Bar #3, which satisfied my need intensely. The quesabirria tacos were rich, packed with meat, and tender like my first love. The Jamaica was perfectly sweet and tart, just like what is served in Mexico. I can’t wait for my next meal here.

Great food and really solid portions on the burrito bowl! Guac was incredible and everything was very flavorful. Outdoor seating is nice but the indoor area was quite warm when we were there. Overall, would definitely recommend!

Their Ramen is just tapatio Ramen from Walmart for less than $2 each, that they add a small amount of meat and sauce to. Then cover with foil before delivery. Not worth the price, shrimp and lime flavor, be careful if you have a shellfish allergy as they do not advertise it.

Stopped in for a quick bite and ordered a single chicken taco ($4.75)—ended up being so good I couldn’t help but order another. The hot sauce was actually hot (not Minnesota hot), and the taco was full of bold, satisfying flavor.

Round two: the American taco with asada ($5.25), this time with medium green sauce—flavorful with just the right amount of kick. Washed it down with a lightly sweetened hibiscus agua fresca, which was the perfect balance to the heat.

The staff was friendly, the music authentic, and the whole place had great energy. Bonus: they’re open until 3AM on Fridays and Saturdays, making this a top-tier late-night spot for real flavor.

Definitely coming back for more.

Was definitely excited to try this place out since we’ve seen plenty of good reviews on tictok and instagram. Unfortunately the service was truly a bummer. My boyfriend and I are big on great tacos and wanted to give this place a try since it looked promising but when we came to order we used their kiosk and we payed but the system had went down and we grabbed the cashier to come and help us and it didn’t work for her either so she said we can just order through the front cashier, I wanted to check to see if it went through my card and it did, I even showed the cashier the phone and she read out the restaurant name, that’s when she called her boss and explained over the phone what had happened but it was in Spanish so unfortunately couldn’t understand but then she passed the phone to me and i talked to the boss and gave her the order we put down and how much it cost. Once I passed the phone back to the cashier she talked with the boss and proceeded to put the order down, but I saw on the screen that the order didn’t match up to the total that I spent and tired telling her there’s a missing item and she started typing on her phone to show me that the system goes down here and there and that basically the employees are not responsible for the system which I understand but I just wanted to make sure the order equaled up to what I paid. She proceeds to put everything down on the screen and I told her it was missing the drink and she gave me a look as if I was lying, then she put the drink down also and it equaled up to what I paid, so my boyfriend and I go to find a table to sit, she brings out the food and behold she doesn’t bring out the drink that I had mentioned which was the horchata, when I told the owner what our order was she must’ve forgotten the drink so obviously the cashier thought we were trying to scam them and we aren’t we came out to have some food and try out a new place, unfortunately the service lucked out the potential but maybe try the other locations. We had the quesabirria, 4 street asada tacos, birria boudin balls, a Mexican coke and a “horchata” if you put the order down on the website it’s .5 cents off but you get the situation.
