My wife and I have been to La Mesa a handful of times and have never been disappointed( including our second date, its a great date spot). La mesa is a hidden gem tucked away in the neighborhood with a great outdoor space in the summer. In my opinion, they have some of the best pizza in the city The corn pizza is my favorite and the weekly special last week was slow roasted pork and chimichurri sauce which was delicious. Great place, good service, and nice atmosphere and would recommend to anyone looking for a fun date night or something different than a bar and grill. I just recommend to a co worker and she really enjoyed it!

We drove by and stopped for dinner on a whim and were promptly seated even without a reservation (around 545 pm). Attentive service and quick food service, considering how freshly the food is prepared. Shrimp ceviche, mahi mahi, and coconut shrimp were delicious. I'm ready to visit Ecuador now. We will be back!

Located in a quiet neighborhood with a very nice outdoor patio. Seems frequented by locals of the neighborhood. We happened to be there when there was live music, and it was lovely to listen to while eating.
Everything is labeled vegan or vegan option on the menu. Many items need to be changed to be vegan, but the food is great and comes out fast. Staff is knowledgeable and there is one vegan server that I know of.

Food is top notch. I don’t know how or why but this place had the best burger I’ve eaten all year and it’s not even an American restaurant. I don’t recommend the wings but I only tried one version of them. Everything else on the menu is above par. The Cheese and every dish containing cheese is phenomenal. Atmosphere is as good as it gets and being able to observe the kitchen out of the corner of your eye without needing to stare at it is cool.
Service is good. Please note that every restaurant gets 5 stars for service unless something awful happens.
I would give it a perfect 5 stars, but the prices are a little high, not egregiously high but high. And their hours are weird.

Excellent drinks, really spectacular. I got what seemed like an Ecudorian martini. My wife liked her meal, my burger (a special) was delicious and perfectly cooked, if messy. We shared a very salad, see picture, clearly an upscale, if casual, place.
It was a pleasant place to be on a spectacular evening.
The service was really the only downside. We had to flag down our waitress 3 times, and the hostess seemed [correction: tired].
