My wife and I visited here on a random Tuesday during dinner service. Our waiter was amazing which i believe he is the bartender as well. He gave out great recommendations for drinks my wife had the Hibiscus Sour and I had the Hurricane both with rum. I would definitely recommend these drinks as they were perfectly blended, not too strong but also not too light.

The atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant gave a nice & relaxing mood, the music was being lightly played.

For Appetizers we decided on BBQ Shrimp and the Oysters. Both were great dishes, my wife and I enjoyed the BBQ Shrimp a tad bit more as it was cooked to perfection and it came on a bed of grits, surprisingly the ingredients blended really well despite the name.

For Dinner my wife had the Gumbo and I ordered the Jazz Fest Crawfish Monica (the pictured). I would recommend the Jazz Fest, it was light, the pasta was nice and buttery & creamy, the crawfish was cooked perfectly i would give it a 10/10. Ive had many different gumbo, it’s was definitely delicious.

Overall I would recommend for you to dine in Lagniappe.

This place is dynamite. So glad we have these flavors available in Minneapolis. My wife got the grillades and grits, and I got the jambalaya. Hit the spot! Great food, drinks and service. Ambiance was very warm with a sweet selection of music in the background.

Hit Du Nord afterwards for a nightcap! You with regret it.

Everything was great. Bev had Grillades and Grits--it was fantastic! (and important for Bev--not spicy). Wait staff recommended the Jazz Fest Crawfish--It was REALLY good (a little more spice would have been good) ( make sure to order a side of bread for the sauce!) Roasted Mushrooms side were the best roasted mushrooms I'v had. I normally am not a fan of bread pudding but I really liked Lagniappe's. Atmosphere is fantastic (having a person playing the piano would have been a fantastic extra touch-- maybe they'll add that on Fridays and Saturdays. Service was great.

What a terrific new restaurant! We came here for a celebratory dinner and everything we tried was on point. The service was joyful and gracious, present but not overbearing. On a quieter night we had no problem with noise but I imagine this space will get loud when full. We especially loved the fried green tomatoes, the pork chop, and the red fish with braised greens. Cocktails were lovely. And the mussels andouille is dream-about-the-next-night worthy. The portions were also generous - we got three starters and one entree each for a group of four and brought some parts of the entrees home. We will absolutely be returning.

Parking: Parking is easy to find in the lot around the corner from Lake Street.

My wife and I celebrated her birthday at Lagniappe over the weekend and had a great time. The atmosphere and service were great and the food was outstanding. Parking nearby was pretty easy as well. My wife absolutely loved the red fish and the waiter's recommendation of the jalapeño cornbread was on point. I even loved having fried green tomatoes done professionally for the first time (who else loves that movie?). That said, everything we had was super tasty! We will definitely be going back.

Everything was incredible! The fried green tomatoes, greens, bbq shrimp, crawfish Monica, grillades, cornbread, bread pudding, the bananas foster (made at the table!?!) everything was unbelievably delicious. The drinks were boozy and tasty, the staff welcoming and amazing. We had so much fun. Planning on coming back soon!

The food was mostly delicious (beets were meh but jambalaya was amazing), but the dining experience did not warrant the high price of the food. Service was inconsistent, no drink refills, we weren't offered the desert menu at all, and they literally started bussing our table as we stood up to put on our coats. I wish service was as attentive as their wish to turn our table over! The couple next to us was waiting for the server to come by so they could get another glass of wine - instead she brought the check. Ouch! Hopefully six months from now all these new restaurant things will be ironed out - we will give it another try next year - but for now, it hurt to pay that tab.

We tried this place on a Friday night for dinner. The food was outstanding! We had the jalapeño cornbread, oysters (they were cooked and deliciously prepared), crawfish des allemands entree, jazz fest crawfish Monica entree, and the bread pudding. The jalapeño cornbread had a great, less gritty, moist texture and came out in a cast iron skillet - it had a perfect kick to it. The crawfish entree was a little salty but that seems to be typical with this type of entree anyway, so no big issue. The bread pudding had lots of raisins in it which usually bothers me but it was so delicious we ate it all.

The service was what you’d expect from a brand new restaurant with a few kinks to sort out (orders coming out haphazardly, our turtle soup was forgotten) but our server was really friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Would highly recommend!

We had grits, greens and gumbo - all tasty and such quality. She lived in NOLA for a while so knows it well. We both felt transported! It’s amazing how the energy, hospitality, and decor felt like traveling there. Also it was my first time in the Colosseum building since it was redone, so it choked me up to see such good new life in the space. ❤️

Atmosphere and service were great. We sat in the restaurant side but did checkout the cocktail room, which also looked very cool. For starters we had the meatballs, jalapeño cornbread, and olive bread and all were good. The pork chop entree was also good but the barbecue sauce was overpowering. The jambalaya was not great. It was dry and overly salty but not spicy. The mussels were quite bad in taste with no flavor. The shrimp were ok but lacked flavor. The chicken was dry. The sausage was good.

Had dinner in the Lagniappe Cocktail Lounge which is separate from the restaurant. Fantastic New Orleans ambiance with warm inviting seating is the perfect atmosphere to hang with close friends. Had Po Boys, Bread Pudding and crazy drinks. ALL were outstanding! Highly recommended!!! Have reservations on this Saturday evening in the new restaurant. Looking forward to another great meal with friends.

The mussels and bbq shrimp and grits were both so rich and flavorful and I would highly recommend. The redfish was a good portion for the price point and was cooked perfectly. As for the ambiance, it's beautiful and cozy and the staff was warm and welcoming. I really loved the bee sting cocktail as well. What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. I can't wait to come back and try more!
