Wilted lettuce was the side of my sandwich that had a hair in it.
The menu is creative but not quite executed like I wanted it to be. The tofu is flavorful and spicy but a little dry. The bread was good. The shakshuka was good but a little soupy and needed more oomph. It's almost there but needs a little more... Boldness in the execution. I think they are worried of being too spicy or something.
Excellent food, nice ambiance.
We stopped by Lake & Bryant for brunch and were pleasantly surprised. I had the chicken tikka sandwich, and it was fantasti. The bread was perfectly warm and toasted, and the shredded chicken tikka was super flavorful. Simple, but it packed a punch.
We also tried the extra spicy noodle bowl. Heads up...it lives up to the name. It started off great, and the cold egg on top was a nice touch that helped balance the spice. But toward the end, the flavor fell off a bit and it ended up tasting more bland than bold. Not bad, just not as memorable.
That said, the overall vibe was hustle and bustle, energetic but not overwhelming. Definitely worth checking out for a casual brunch with some unique flavor twists.
I love love the food here! My favorite is the coffee infused beef with egg Sandwich. It’s made fresh and you can’t tell they all work so hard!
I had a great experience today at Lake and Bryant Cafe. The tofu scramble tasted superb, the bread is uber fresh, and the Made For Each Other latte was delicious! Service was fast and friendly, and though I took my order to-go, there was ample seating available at noon on a Sunday. Highly impressed, and I will definitely dine here again.
They should tell you when you come in, ALL the food is PRE-MADE and heated up. . We spent $32 on breakfast/lunch . I Will NEVER go there again. There's no cream for the coffee until u wrestle the guy behind the counter to give it to you. It is NOT left out for the customers to use. REALLY?? AWFUL

A lovely and calm spot to get some coffee or a bite to eat. Lots of seating room and a quick kitchen. Don't skip the shaksuka or the waffle breakfast sandwich! And definitely try a specialty drink - better than Starbucks could ever hope to be.

The waffle breakfast sandwich here is so good I've gone back to get it 3 more times! I also love their specialty drink, "made for each other" with vanilla and cardamom, mmm! Cute spot with live plants, friendly staff, and good vibes. Can't keep me away! Oo and the orange lavender latte iced is to die for.

Listen. I love this place. I visit fairly often, I’ve brought people here to show them because the food is so good and the atmosphere is nice and chill. But I’ve now had two experiences in a row with general uncleanliness in their kitchen.
1. I ordered a breakfast burrito (which I love! And the roasted potatoes on the side are to die for) and pulled out TWO different long, long hairs from it in the middle of eating. It was a tough one.
2. The next time I came, I ordered the El Paso Pork Sandwich. It’s my favorite thing on the menu and the sandwich itself was great. However, in the little side salad that comes with it I did find a living caterpillar. I showed it to staff and didn’t get much of a response other than “oh no! it happens sometimes”.
With one bad experience, I chalk it up to an off day. But two in a row is enough for me to feel like I should say something. Again, I love this place which is why this is such a bummer. I’ll likely still come back for the coffee, but I don’t know that I’ll get food again.
