A lovely and calm spot to get some coffee or a bite to eat. Lots of seating room and a quick kitchen. Don't skip the shaksuka or the waffle breakfast sandwich! And definitely try a specialty drink - better than Starbucks could ever hope to be.

The waffle breakfast sandwich here is so good I've gone back to get it 3 more times! I also love their specialty drink, "made for each other" with vanilla and cardamom, mmm! Cute spot with live plants, friendly staff, and good vibes. Can't keep me away! Oo and the orange lavender latte iced is to die for.

Listen. I love this place. I visit fairly often, I’ve brought people here to show them because the food is so good and the atmosphere is nice and chill. But I’ve now had two experiences in a row with general uncleanliness in their kitchen.
1. I ordered a breakfast burrito (which I love! And the roasted potatoes on the side are to die for) and pulled out TWO different long, long hairs from it in the middle of eating. It was a tough one.
2. The next time I came, I ordered the El Paso Pork Sandwich. It’s my favorite thing on the menu and the sandwich itself was great. However, in the little side salad that comes with it I did find a living caterpillar. I showed it to staff and didn’t get much of a response other than “oh no! it happens sometimes”.
With one bad experience, I chalk it up to an off day. But two in a row is enough for me to feel like I should say something. Again, I love this place which is why this is such a bummer. I’ll likely still come back for the coffee, but I don’t know that I’ll get food again.

Coffee didn't taste that great. Food was small portions. Didn't appreciate tolhe contact yelling out people's orders.

Cute little breakfast cafe. There's lots of seating and places set out your laptop to get some work done. This was my first time here and unfortunately I did not like what I ordered. I got the breakfast sandwhich which comes on a waffle, the waffle was so sweet it took away from the savory parts of the sandwhich (the eggs and bacon). Other than that the sandwhich was fine but I won't order it again and don't recommend it. I would still come back here and try other items on the menu.

I can't believe I've never left a review for my favorite cafe in the twin cities!
This has been my work spot for years now. Lake and Bryant is my happy place. From the incredible menu, to the cozy atmosphere, to the friendly service, I've literally never had a single negative experience. The owners are such wonderful people. It's obvious they genuinely care about their employees and their customers.
For as long as I live in Minnesota, I will choose Lake and Bryant over anywhere else. You seriously can't go wrong coming here!

Decent coffee, I had the burrito and while very fresh and high quality ingredients the flavor was somewhat lacking, or perhaps just unsalted. I also tried the extremely spicy noodles which had amazing flavor and a real amount of spicy (not extreme by my standards but my girlfriend definitely thought so).
I would recommend going here and I intend on going back to try another dish
