So long Lemon Grass! We will miss you!!!
Lemon grass Thai was a quick pick for me after hearing so many good things about it. We made a last minute call and went to this place and was luckily enough to get a table at 8pm. This place needs reservations for sure as it’s fully occupied. Ambiance is good and they maintained the place well and neat. The service was quick and fast. We tried different dishes and loved the flavors they have and enjoyed the food. I thought the cocktails could have been better but it’s more of a good place so it’s all good. Chicken wings with basil crunch was amazing and it’s a must to try it out. Tom yum soup was spot on and it has all flavors in it. Thai fried rice and drunken noodles were delicious too. The only thing we did not like is veg gyoza which we ordered for ppl who don’t eat pork, we would have loved pork gyoza.Overall this place has amazing food and it’s must visit place for all Thai lover asChicken wings with basil, fire crunch - 5/5Tom yum soup - 5/5Crispy fried rice - 4.5/5Thai fried rice - 4/5Drunken noodles - 5/5Veg gyoza - 3/5Cocktails - 3/5
Always amazing food and wonderful service everytime I come here. Their Lemongrass sushi roll in pic is amazing!
Our new favorite Thai restaurant in the Twin Cities metro. It had been years since we visited here. In the time since, they have significantly remodeled and moved this venue upscale. The service was top notch and the food fantastic. Started with traditional fresh spring rolls which were just that - fresh. Generously stuffed and served with a mildly spicy sweet sauce. The spicy calamari, jalapenos, and basil app was unique and delicious. We've never had calamari served with the batter fried jalapenos and basil leaves before - a real treat! Noodle and rice dishes were all very savory and included ample protein selections. The Drunken Noodles Combination (shrimp, beef, chicken) was my favorite. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and large in size. I ordered it medium hot and would say it was delivered "Minnesota medium hot" which meant I had to add chili peppers in hot oil to kick it up to Thai medium. We enjoyed iced Thai tea and a great Bent Paddle dark beer with our dinner. Presentation of the entrees was beautiful. We'll be returning for sure.
Amazing food and Mai Tai.
Stopped in for dinner with a friend on a Friday night. Without a reservation they could only see just at the sushi bar. Was really odd because there was an empty table right next to the sushi bar that never was filled. Ordered seafood curry, as did my friend. Ordered medium but could’ve been much spicier compared to many other Thai places in town where medium has plenty of zip. Waiter was very helpful and pleasant. Food was good, but not particularly memorable.
Amazing food and very good cocktails. Beware it is authentic spicy food. We like spicy food (not originally from Mn) and the medium was still very very hot!
If I can put a 0 , I would . We came in and sat for about 15-20 mins . No one came to serve us . A couple comes in and sat right next to us and they get served right away; their drinks order , waiter walks away . We continue to wait , mind we have a 3 year old daughter who hungry . Waiter comes back within a few mins with their drinks and take their order and walked away . At this point I felt like we were just completely invisible. So my little family just decided to get up and leave . Our last time going there. Smh .
Upon a second visit I give a 2 star, the food is good. Meal took quite a while. Ordered egg rolls as an app, two of our three meals showed up before the app, my Wife is sitting with no meal. When her meal showed up, still no egg rolls, we chose to cancel them. Her meal was supposed to be Mild, it was hotter than my meal which I asked for spicy. Not very good service. To top it off, they add an 18% Gratuity to the check. Both my Wife and I were in the food industry for years. To me 18% is high. if the service was good, I would have less of an issue. WE WILL NOT RETURN FOR A THIRD VISIT!Maybe take out, as long as they do not charge Gratuity on that too.
??We drove 45 minutes to try this place, and it was well worth the hike!! Spicy edamame, pork gyoza, one fish-two fish drink, and four different sushi rolls was outstanding!! Service was superb!! I love their creativeness of their food and drink and selection. So much fun!! Plan to be back soon!!

Pretty good Thai, sushi is more "Americanized" the med spice level not very spicy, try hot if you want a little bit. Drinks where great, staff nice and polite, they did forget my daughter's food until I said something, more of a 3.5. the fried calamari big but chewy, fried shrimp egg roll 100%, my fried Thai rice, no egg. Stir fry very good per my dinner party (family)3.5 out of 5
food and service hope you bring lunch back the 18% additional service charge seems excessive.. highest one I've had so far
It has great ambiance and wonderful staff. Server was very kind and understanding. Food was good (could have been best). Egg rolls was delicious. There are really no vegetarian options. Menu is misleading as most of their food is cooked in fish oil or shrimp paste. This restaurant isn’t necessarily for vegetarian folks.I give credit to server who has gone out of her way to provide food which meets our dietary needs. She brought separate list for us. This four stars for her and her only.We ended up having food prepared differently. We were expecting spicy food however it was all sweet (ended up putting peppers on it). Quality was overall good.It would be good idea for restaurants to write all ingredients in the menu for dietary or allergies reasons.
I can't remember the last time that I was at Lemon Grass. I'm sure it was before covid. So returning once again after a long time I most certainly was not disappointed.I started with an order of Vegetable Goyza. The portion was generous and certainly more than what might have been needed as an appetizer. It sure could have been part of a shareable dinner. They were yummy with really nice crisp golden brown edges.I also ordered the classic spring rolls. Very tasty with perfect sauce. They used nearly the whole width of the wrap and filled it so you weren't caught with more wrap than filling. Everything tasted fresh and bright!I finished with Chiang Mai Alley Noodles. Outstanding! Just the right heat level for what I ordered. It smelled out of this world and tasted even better. Plus... it's fun to eat.Came home with leftovers that I enjoyed the next day.So sorry it took me so long to come back. You can be sure that it won't take me 2 years again.
I used to love this place. I had not been to Lemon Grass in many years and finally returned tonight. It was disappointing. It used to be such a down-to-earth, well priced place with excellent food. Tonight the vibe wasn’t good from the start- kind of pretentious. The manager struggled with wanting to seat us at a table and tried to encourage us to sit at the bar. Food and cocktails were okay, but it wasn’t anything extraordinary. 2 cocktails, 2 noodle entrees and an order of spring rolls was $100. An 18% surcharge is added to your bill and apparently it is not even a tip to the server. The server then had to awkwardly explain this and almost plead for you to tip in addition. That didn’t seem fair to the them. I am happy to pay a high price for a great experience but this was just standard Thai food with a stuffy vibe.
