are you ready for a long review? Food=EXCELLENT Waitress=EXCELLENT However, we walked in, gave our name and the hostess said, “Can you be done with your table by 8?” I propsed to my wife in the parking lot 29 years ago. We have been coming back to the Lexington for our anniversary since it reopened. We even celebrated my mom and dad's 50th anniversary at The Lexington. Walking in and celebrating our 28th anniversary and hearing someone ask if we'll be done by 8... As my wife said, "Left a bad taste in my mouth." Also, this is the 1st time since we've been coming back that no one asked to take our picture. We have them all since we've been coming back. Perhaps you don't do that any longer. No biggie. Just wanted to mention. This was also the 1st time we were seated in the bar since the night I proposed. Loud and not an elegant experience. One last thing. Wood Fire Grilled King Crab Legs. Since Covid, you took them off the menu. Will you ever be adding them back. See you next year... Maybe... 100% if Wood Fire Grilled King Crab Legs are back on the menu. By the way, we were finished with our table before 8.

Love the ambiance of the Williamsburg Room at the Lex. The weekend jazz evenings are wonderful!

The Lexington is one of the greats and always a memorable experience. The service is so professional but always personal and the food is perfect. We were there for my friends 60th birthday and I had asked in a note on the reservation if it would be possible to make a triple decker peanut butter and jelly sandwich for her because we used to eat those when we were kids and we got in a fight, we would make up over a triple decker PB&J. The chef made the jam that morning, fresh and it was such a delicious treat. We all were crying because he made it so perfect and it was so special. My husband had the chicken pot pie, always a treat, and the birthday girl had the mushroom stroganoff with the homemade pasta, exquisite. Also, I always wonder how it's possible for a Grey Goose martini to taste so mush better at the Lexington? Their bartenders really know what they are doing. The Lexington is so many times thought of as a place to go for special events, and it should be, but I was reminded that we can also pop in for a beverage and a light bite more regularly too. It's just a great place to hang out and feel the real chill Saint Paul vibe while having great food, excellent service and relaxing.

We had a wonderful dinner at The Lex. Being seated in the bar area was perfect for our group of 4. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks/wine selections. The food was outstanding. The prices are high-but I think that is Thanks to all the policies in St Paul. I am thankful this great restaurant is still going strong.

Old school, Supper Club with an upscale vibe. Professional, wait staff, top-notch, old-school bartenders that know their craft. I highly recommend this establishment for special occasions, but also noticed lots of couples coming in for regular date night meals.

This was our first time at The Lexington, and it was a great experience. We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and quickly said to one another, "I think we just found our restaurant for special occasions." Staff was professional, knowledgeable, and personable. And wow - they even had a photographer come and take our picture for this special celebration! The food was very good. I had the pan-seared scallops, and they were super tasty - just melted in my mouth. My husband had the meatloaf wellington and said it was the biggest portion of meatloaf he has ever had. The mashed potatoes were moist and creamy. Our only disappointment was with the rapine. It was hard to cut through and tough to chew.

Great cocktails, good menu, attentive service, wonderful ambiance. A classic that never disappoints.

We celebrated with dinner at the Lexington and it was a perfect spot to try! Our waitress, Grace, was phenomenal and so attentive to us. She helped us celebrate with a surprise photo and ice cream sweet:) She went above to help our experience be wonderful! We loved the valet option and enjoyed our first time at the Lexington! 🥰

If you love old world supper clubs. The "Lex" is for you. Sadly I can not give it 4 stars until they up their game and get an espresso machine. Imagine a beautiful brass Espresso machine sitting behind the bar! Anyone who remembers the old Williams Cafe in Uptown knows what I am talking about. I can't think of another restaurant in their price range that does NOT offer Espresso in the Mpls-St. Paul area.

Service was outstanding. Food was very good. There was one thing that really upset me. They charged a 6% surcharge to supply employees with benefits. Isn't that what the huge markup on food and service covers? They do state this on the website, it is my fault I did not look close enough or I wouldn't of went here in the first place. It feels like it is my fault that their employees do not receive benefits. Because of this unfortunately I will not be back. There are other choices where I am not expected to provide employee benefits.
