It's good szechuan, I'd say great for the area. Their hottest dishes aren't really hot enough for me, but I'm used to having me friends order for me.

Had an absolutely delicious dinner on Christmas day. The menu was huge, and every dish we tried was wonderful. The dumplings are so tasty. We were really pleased with the orange beef too. The wait staff was great - attentive but not intrusive. We were very lucky to have the private dining room. So glad they were open for the holiday!!

This is the second time I've been here for lunch on a Thursday. I tried the Salt and pepper spareribs and the Singapore fried rice noodles and they were excellent, the server was very nice and friendly, I think I will keep coming here to try different dishes.

They are becoming more and more stingy and keep raising prices. The 34-yuan large plate of chicken doesn't even come with rice. In other Chinese restaurants, rice is free, but this rice costs extra😅😅😅😅😅 I will never come here again

I had a great dining experience at Lao Sichuan. The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was fantastic – the Sichuan hotpot was especially delicious, with the perfect balance of spice and flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and the dipping sauces added extra taste to each bite. I also liked how quickly the dishes arrived at our table, allowing us to enjoy a nice meal without waiting too long. Overall, Lao Sichuan gave me a wonderful meal, and I look forward to coming back again.

I grew up eating a lot of Chinese food back home, so I loved how familiar and comforting the food and atmosphere of this place was. I ordered the Singapore rice noodles combination, which tasted amazing and was very fulfilling. It used a blend of authentic spices unlike anything I’ve ever tried from any of the other restaurants nearby. And to top it off, it arrived very fast! The service was also top notch. The servers were very nice and helped translate some Chinese that I didn’t understand. I would love to come again!

Having great lunch at Lao Sze Chuan, and the food is absolutely outstanding. The Spicy Chicken is great, featuring perfectly crispy chicken pieces coated in a fiery blend of spices that bring just the right level of heat. It’s flavorful, aromatic, and addictive. The Salt and Pepper Ribs are equally impressive—tender on the inside and beautifully crispy on the outside, with a savory seasoning that enhances the natural flavor of the ribs. The dish strikes the perfect balance between texture and taste. Lastly, the Stir-Fried Green Beans are a must-try, offering a smoky, rich flavor with a slight crunch. The beans are stir-fried to perfection, with a seasoning that ties everything together. Overall, the meal was authentic, satisfying, and packed with bold, unforgettable flavors. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Sichuan cuisine!

Completely standard Chinese food, highly recommended to Chinese people.
The portion is quite large, about two dishes are enough for three people. As a strong man of nearly 100 kilograms, I can feel quite full after just one serving.
I ordered pork stir-fried bamboo shoots. There are very few places to eat bamboo shoots around here. It was done exactly as I expected, at least it tasted much better than what I made at home. The dining environment is also good, the interior is spacious and bright, and the service is timely.

Restaurantji Recommends
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The poached beef in this restaurant is amazing! The beef slices are super tender, a mouthful full of fresh flavor, wrapped in a rich spicy soup, the more you eat the more addictive. The soup base is particularly exquisite, the hemp of Sichuan pepper and the hot pepper blend just right, the fragrance is tangy, and every bite makes people can not stop, it is simply the next meal!
Side dishes are also very rich, bean sprouts, cabbage absorb full of soup, crisp and refreshing, especially greasy. The spiciness is also just right, not too choking, but the thrill of spicy definitely makes people eat particularly enjoyable. A bowl of rice is not enough. We need more! Highly recommend to try this restaurant, guaranteed to eat and want to come back!

The *Twice-Cooked Pork* is both crispy and flavorful, with a delightful combination of textures that keeps every bite interesting. The addition of Lao Gan Ma chili sauce brings a rich, spicy, and aromatic layer that enhances the dish’s overall profile. The onions and scallions are more than just side ingredients—they provide a refreshing balance, cutting through the richness of the pork and keeping the dish from feeling overly heavy.
The *Egg Fried Rice* is impressively authentic, with fluffy grains evenly coated in egg and a perfect balance of seasoning. It’s a simple yet comforting side that pairs seamlessly with the bolder flavors of the pork.
As for the *Egg Drop Soup*, it’s impressively thick, with a velvety texture that feels rich and satisfying. The flavors are light yet savory, making it a soothing complement to the meal.
Overall, each component of the meal was thoughtfully prepared, striking a perfect balance between bold flavors and comforting staples. The dishes work well together to create a dining experience that is both exciting and familiar. Whether you’re looking for something indulgent or comforting, this menu won’t disappoint.
The service was exceptionally warm and attentive, adding to the overall dining experience. The dishes were reasonably priced, offering great value for the quality and portions.

Lao Sichuan is exceptional in every aspect, from the flavors of its dishes to its ambiance and service. Their signature boiled fish is tender, flavorful, and perfectly captures the essence of Sichuan cuisine with its bold and spicy taste. The dinner experience at Old Sichuan was impressive. Not only did the dishes taste authentic, but the overall combination was very reasonable. We ordered Yangzhou fried rice, wild pepper beef and stir-fried lotus root. Each of the three dishes had its own unique flavor.
First of all, Yangzhou fried rice is a classic Jiangnan style. The rice grains are distinct and dry and delicious. The ingredients are rich, and the combination of ham, shrimp and green beans enhances the layering. It is full of color, flavor and flavor, making it an appetizing staple food.
Wild mountain pepper beef is a typical Sichuan flavor, spicy and spicy with the sourness of wild pepper. The beef slices are evenly sliced and have a smooth and tender texture, intertwined with the spiciness of the sansho pepper, making you unable to resist one bite after another. What I especially like is that it is spicy but not dry, and the seasoning is just right.
Stir-fried lotus root is a creative vegetarian dish. The crisp and tender texture of the lotus root and the special seasoning form a clever contrast. The slightly sweet element is added to the seasoning, which adds a unique flavor to the fresh lotus root, while retaining the refreshing taste of the lotus root itself, making it endlessly memorable.
The three dishes have distinct flavors and complement each other. They have the satiety of the staple food, the satisfaction of the meat dishes and the freshness of the vegetarian dishes. They are very suitable for gatherings with friends or family dinners. Overall, the food quality and dining experience at Old Sichuan are top-notch, and I will come back to try other dishes next time!
