Peach cobbler was cold (like out of a refrigerator cold, not just room temp) and was nothing special and very expensive.

The service is subpar, and the food is below subpar quality , its yet another black business that people support because they are black and not the quality of the food and service, Terrable customer service, The Gatsby Apartments are probably fighting to recover past rent from this business, they have hardly any customers, i never see anyone eating at the restaurant, The Gatsby Apartments should have had a convenience store placed in the rental space because that is a desperately needed resource in the neighborhood, but a failed black business needs to go.

One star because the beet brownie is really delicious, but entirely overpriced at $8. I agree with the previous reviews about the sweet potato pie - not done and not good. And unfortunately, the peach cobbler that they're famous for is just mush. Major catering fail - food was late, items were missing, service was terrible from start to finish and a bad value compared to other local caterers - you can get much better food for the price. Coffee is way too strong. Paint colors are uncoordinated and too loud for a coffee shop - clearly a professional interior designer was not employed. Chairs are uncomfortable and tables are small. Owner does not take feedback well - very defensive. Their high prices demand first class customer service, but they're not bringing it. It's a solid no for me.

This will become a "MUST GO TO" anytime I'm in Minneapolis. I just loved Lutunji instantly, her service, coffee and food was superior and you felt instantly like family.

We purchased desserts for Christmas. Peach cobbler, sweet potato pie and lemon pound cake. The peach cobbler was good. The sweet potato pie was not completely cooked and the lemon pound cake was overdone, dry and not a lot of flavor.

Stopped in for lunch & tried the turkey pastrami sandwich. It was SO GOOD. Way better than a sandwich has any business being. I'd say it was the special dipping sauce (it kinda was), but also everything was super fresh. I'll be back to try some treats.

The sandwiches, smoothies and desserts are amazing! I usually get the turkey pastrami sandwich, power green smoothie and lemon pound cake. All are so good and the atmosphere is always so welcoming and always brings me joy!

I asked for a vegan impossible burger and instead got beef. I ate half before I realized how different the taste was. I have been vegan for 27 years and my dissapointment is immeasurable. Furthermore, the wait was about 20 minutes just to get my order taken. I had to leave and come back when someone was in the restaurant. Honestly, I'd rather eat real meat and not be vegan any longer, rather than to eat here again. I heard good things about the place which is why I decided to try it out, but don't believe any of it. When I voiced my complaints, the owner, who I assume is Lutunji, was extremely passive aggressive and I found out later over charged me for cheese which wasn't on my burger and that I didn't even want to begin with because I'm vegan.
