Stopped in after a gloomy, rainy travel day for a brew and a bite. First, it's in a lovely old neighborhood, very safe, very walkable. The building is beautiful and the rooftop terrace expansive. Sun peeked out JUST enough that we drank the first beer up top. My Roggan Rojabier was sublime and the cozy welded firepits just added to the Fall vibe. Decided to have a second brew and a burger -- the og smashburger was insanely tasty. I finished the whole dang thing. But the best part? The kindest, most helpful, fun staff. Is everyone in Minneapolis just that delightful?
Love the rooftop!
Xavier is the best bartender I've had. I would be hard pressed to find a better service experience.
Interesting place with decent beer. Sampled a hazy IPA and a stout, and both were above average.
Love the rooftop patio in the summer! Tough to find in the area. The food is also surprisingly great for a brewery
Decent beer selection, music, and nice rooftop patio with minibar
Food was quick and ...OK. Belgian beer on tap was pulled from Bright Tank waaaaay too early. Flat, warm and green. Couldn't drink it and I can drink anything.
LynLake Brewery is a fantastic place to go with friends to relax and hang out and they have a very chillaxed vibe. The place is cozy and has an abundance of games you and your friends can play.
The food is also amazing the foods I got to try were-
Lake view burger- had a very good taste! Cheese curd are very good, very close to fair cheese curds. Also the sauce that comes with it pairs nicely. Very good portion of cheese curds for a small as well.
Firebird- Note if you can’t handle spice don’t get it. It has a very good tasting flavor though!
Chicken tacos- had a good flavors little kick. I think sour cream on the side would pair nicely just to mild the spice out a little for some!
I had the imperial Stout and it was delicious! Note for other patrons that outside food is not allowed.
Cool spot and decent beer, but either this place is still charging undisclosed hospitality fees or their pricing is not consistent - a $7.50 beer (12 oz pour, too) shouldn't be a few pennies shy of $9 (before tip)

Okay I love this place in the summer, but I gotta say something quick...
We went to LynLake Brewery last week on a night where Minneapolis got 1 inch of snow in an otherwise completely nonexistent winter so far. We're Minnesotan, so naturally, if it's snowing, we go out for a beer and a card game. Mind you, we checked the hours, and it said they closed in an hour and a half, which is plenty of time for a visit.
We walked in and the bartenders let us know it was LAST CALL... an hour and 15 minutes before close? Like I get it if it's 12 foot snowfall and a blizzard outside, but 35 degrees and a single inch?? diabolical tbh. We assumed maybe there was an early closure announcement we missed somewhere, ordered our single beers, and sat down for a quick card game.
In that time, three different patrons tried walking in, and the bartenders locked the doors and stopped them, informing them of the early closure. It would have been perfectly fine protocol... if they weren't supposed to be open for another 40 minutes. We quickly finished our beers to get out of their hair, and we went home. We figured maybe we'd try again on the weekend.
Guys... Its SATURDAY, and it's been less than a week... It was 10:38, and they closed at midnight, so we decided we'd try again on a busier night, trudging in -4 degree weather over to the local brew... It was 10:55... there were 2 tables worth of people in the brewery, and the website listed that this business was open until midnight, yet they were CLOSED... an hour and 5 minutes before their listed hours.
I worked at a brewery before, and I know there can be slow nights that lead to an early close, but TWICE in ONE WEEK? That's honestly crazy. It's Minnesota– we're AWARE that its COLD out. That's not STOPPING people from going out to a toasty space for a drink to warm them up. You could blame it on slow business, but I really do think they're just closing early to get out earlier. Which like... just prep and do your closing stuff while you're open and do a normal last call!
Basically, they lost my business tonight, and they lost my repeat business less than a week ago, and they lost 3 patron's business that got turned away at the door 40 minutes before their established closing hour. It's absurd, and though I'll probably go back eventually, I can't help but feel disappointed by the false hours listed.
I walked home, cracked open an at-home beer, set up a card game, and still, they're technically supposed to be open now. I would have been done and home by now, had I been given the chance! ~
Really cozy vibe and delicious dark beers! I visited in the winter so the rooftop was closed but I am excited to see the rooftop in the summer! They also have a kitchen that has a great looking menu of burgers, fries, quesadillas, and wings.
Good beer, good vibe - when they're open.
Folks: kindly update your hours both on your website and on Maps. I stood before closed doors today. (Closed on Mondays during winter).
Great staff
Service and atmosphere are decent, beers are okay, needs more selection and variety.
