Went to the Lyon's Pub on a whim. The experience was not one I would care to repeat in the future. Service was relatively okay. However, upon receiving our meals, it was discovered that there was wax paper inside one of the entrées. As a former food industry cook, it was appalling. It wasn't even busy at the time that we were dining, so it shouldn't have been difficult to prepare food in a safe and timely manner. I did enjoy the seemingly historic nature of the establishment.

The food and service was excellent. I highly recommend the cajun fries. Our server, which we sat at the bar was extremely attentive and great. It was very busy and the atmosphere was "alive". Very energetic place. An Iowa vs Nebraska game was on. Lots of cheering. Price was fair.
