The BEST fish and shrimp tacos. Great communication too.

After the guy took my money, he then went and touched food as he was beginning to fry my fish. When I asked that he changed out his gloves or put on a glove he told me that he’s only using one hand to fry fix the food put it in a bag and everything. All he had to do was just change the glove out and he told me to get out of his store and never come back. What kind of customer service is that? I used to go there years ago and the food and the professional service was wonderful. I think it’s under some kind of new management and apparently they don’t care how they treat customers.

I went to Mac’s looking for one thing and one thing only: good fried fish. And Mac’s delivered. The Walleye was great and they also have Halibut, which is a real treat. No “atmosphere” to speak of, but that’s not why you’re here. ?

I had high hopes, but I would say a good option for an affordable fried fish dinners but would recommend focusing on a few options. It was good but lacked on a few things. Great curds and cod taco! However the halibut wasn’t worth the upcharge and the fries were only ok. The restaurant was unremarkable but had a nice mural. The was a lot on the side but it it had some large holes so we opted to park on the street.

Wow! The building isn't much to look at, but the fish is awesome! I had the halibut, my wife had the cod, and our daughter had the walleye. The fish was served hot from the fryer. It was tender and tasty. The young man at the counter was very pleasant and helpful. This hidden gem is definitely on our return list.

Food was good and this has been on my list for a while. Their tacos were great and I will definitely get them again. I really enjoyed my fish and chips too and this is probably the closest I have had to Australia. And it's all fresh. They need to up some basic kid friendly aspects.

1. Clean the one high chair . There's visible grime and dirt on it.
2. Add a changing table to the bathroom. It doesn't need to be a fancy wall one. Can be a basic $100 furniture one like many of the other Minneapolis restaurants.

I'll be back though.

Kid-friendliness: Not at all kid friendly. There's no kids menu which is fine as you can order smaller portions with their menu. But I have a 1 year old and they lack a changing table in either bathroom and the one booster high chair is disgusting. The front bar on it has months and months of dirt built up on it.

Great hole in the wall place. Food was delicious. Great portion sizes and you get 2 free sauces. Everything was made fresh including the bun for the sandwich! The breading on the fish was light and flaky, not dense.

Fish way too greasy and fries was cold and soggy and salty stay away u don't want high blood pressure or high cholesterol!

We came here after a random craving for fish and chips. I got the cod and hubby got the mahi-mahi. We liked the crunchy flake salt they use, and the service was fast and friendly. The lemons are seasoned which added a unique twist. We would definitely come here again even though we aren’t really fish and chips people! The only downside is that our food came out so hot and fresh that we had to wait a few minutes to eat it.
