Been coming to Market BBQ for decades as this point. It’s reliable for great bbq and importantly it always has space to dine in, taking out is easy too. It’s open later than most other haunts in town, and has great staff. The seasoned wings are killer, the pulled pork, the biscuits, corn, etc. I haven’t had a bad experience yet, nor have they been out of anything that I have wanted which has been my experience at other spots in town. Onsite parking too and it’s close to some great bars for post dinner fun.

Parking: Onsite lot is available and street parking

I was very excited to go her first my first time. Unfortunately it was horrible. This was not just my opinion but the other couples as well. The food was very bland and tasteless and dry. The only bright spot was our waitress who was very sweet and kind. She should go somewhere else that makes better food.

This is as good of a family bbq joint as you could ever hope to find! The appetizers and starters were all great, and the ribs were fantastic, but the smoked bbq chicken really was a showstopper! Come get your fill of cornbread and chicken. If you're lucky, Jen will be the one serving you and your homestyle bbq experience will be complete!

Fried chicken was wonderful, wings were exceptionally tasty, corn bread was moist and crumbly at the same time, bartender was attentive and gave us great recommendations off the menu, only complaints is the brisket was not very good, it came covered in onions and ketchup and the consistency of cheap bologna! Coleslaw tasted old and was really soft, with no crunch Will definitely visit again!

We were kind of underwhelmed on this visit. While our server was really excellent, the food we had was...just okay. The brisket and pulled pork were overly sauced and fattier than we would have liked. The biscuit was good, the cheese grits and macaroni and cheese were okay, and the coleslaw had a good flavor but too much mayo. Key lime pie from a bakery out-of-town was good. I know that this has been a mainstay in the barbecue scene in the Twin Cities for many years, but I just feel there's better barbecue around these days.

Food was good but a little rough for ribs. Sauce was overly spicy or bland ketchup

Famous Dave’s is better BBQ than this.

They really dropped the ball on the “signature dish”.
Take out half slab of ribs was HORRENDOUS.
Very dry, overcooked, no meat, not properly prepared ribs, and definitely NOT tender.
Spit out the only bite I took and threw it all away. Didn’t even want to try the fries, coleslaw, or toast.

This was my second time using Market BBQ. Working with them has been a great pleasure. They have stellar customer service and delicious food. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to cater a food truck!

I was expecting a lot more. The brisket was sliced paper thin, was not juicy at all. The ribs were dry, the menu specifically stated not "fall off the bone for a reason" tell me the reason... People are desiring the ribs to be tender and the bones to be free to pull out. The collard greens.... Please take a trip to the south and get collard greens. The acrid aftertaste was off-putting. The candied sweet potatoes were good. The coleslaw was good, a little wet for my taste. And finally the baked potato, the best of the plate firm consistency, maybe season it before baking ad chives or bacon it would be great.

Went to this wonderful place for dinner. It was wonderful. I can't tell you how good the food was and the service on point. Her name was Jenny she was pleasant and very attentive not to just our tables at all the tables, and it looked like she was the only waitress. The other thing that I noticed was how CLEAN this place was. I was so impressed by how clean it was, including the restroom. I will continue to go back for the service and the food.

I’ve been here a few times now and every single time I’m wildly disappointed with the food. The service is always great and the staff always seems to be super happy to be there, dead restaurant or not. The first time I went there they were out of brisket at 6pm on a Friday and the ribs were dry even with sauce. This time most of the fried chicken was sweet like they used sugar instead of salt. The other chicken was very under seasoned.
