A friend and I visiting from out of town stopped by here for a couple of drinks outside. It’s unapologetically a neighborhood dive bar that looks to have been there for maybe 100 years. The outdoor patio has about 10 tables, next to the parking lot. Our waitress and bartenders were super friendly and nice. They are famous for the “Original” roast beef sandwich. So we ordered it. The food and deals are good, but why does it feel like all the staff hates me? The bartender and servers are so mean for what??? The one lady server is nice - and the bouncers. Anyways, this place is cool, but if you come on a Friday or Saturday the service will kill your vibe

You haven't done Northeast Minneapolis if you've never been to Slacks!! Good food, good drinks, good people watching. The original roast beef sandwich is no joke! Epically large portion that is delicious and guaranteed to put you in a meat coma while you're still chewing! I love love love the tots. You don't "need" them but the crunch is a great accompaniment to any meal.
