The food and deals are good, but why does it feel like all the staff hates me? The bartender and servers are so mean for what??? The one lady server is nice - and the bouncers. Anyways, this place is cool, but if you come on a Friday or Saturday the service will kill your vibe
You haven't done Northeast Minneapolis if you've never been to Slacks!! Good food, good drinks, good people watching. The original roast beef sandwich is no joke! Epically large portion that is delicious and guaranteed to put you in a meat coma while you're still chewing! I love love love the tots. You don't "need" them but the crunch is a great accompaniment to any meal.

Order the classic garlic roast beef, get the one with 2 smaller ones and fries. Incredible!!
First time I was there, Mayslack himself was serving sandwiches inside and if a woman was cute he would pinch their hand with his tongs and then put the tongs right back in the aus jus, women with beehive hair do's would serve the business men beer while they waited outside in line with polka music blaring, this was early 70's I think
