Used to have a wonderful atmosphere, but recently has become plastered in ugly political sloganeering. One can express politics tastefully in a restaurant; it would still be a bad thing to do, but one can do it tastefully. The way Merlin’s Rest has chosen to do it is garish.
Service is good, and food is solid. Nice mixed beers.

Ben our bartender took great care of us. Excellent bloody, Padriag’s ESB and their reuben…. ridiculously great. Very nice bar, definitely will come back for a relaxing afternoon.

We stumbled across this Pub after randomly Googling a place to go and we were very pleased by our decision to go. Absolutely great food and great service from the bar. Very cool atmosphere with prices that don't break the bank. Highly recommended.

I went during dinnertime with a friend. I felt at home with a very nice Irish vibe. There was a 2 persons duo playing Irish soft music worked well as background. We tried the Pie, Chilli and Cheese curds - they were all excellent! Price was reasonable for the quality and Guiness was stout.
