Micholandia Ice cream & Tacos

DELICIOUS. The food is great, tacos and burritos. Can’t wait to try the elote (next time, I was too stuffed!). And OMG. The homemade ice creams are amazing. Staff are supper wiling to let you try everything you’d like. Hard to decide what flavor to go with. Can’t recommend this place enough. TRY IT!!!

Good food, unique vibes.

Kid-friendliness: Cartoons everywhere, lights shaped like ice cream, food is clearly spiced more to American tastes so kids are more likely to like it. SUPER fun ice cream and/or fruit creations.

Wheelchair accessibility: Excellent. Lots of room for my extra wide walker. Painted cement floor. Chairs are relatively light to move out of the way if you want to stay in your chair.

Got the taco combo, great value the mango habenero fries were amazing. All 3 flavors of tacos were excellent. I did love the shrimp taco the most. They have amazing ice cream they make there. Wow...I can't wait to come back.

When I arrived both team members were mopping the floors and gathering trash. One team member stopped mopping to come take my order. The other associate stopped mopping, added something in the trash and started putting on gloves to start scooping my ice cream. I asked the team member to was their hands. They went to the sink and ran water over there hands and was done in 5 seconds… then proceeded to put the gloves on. ? that’s not acceptable. Hand washing after dealing with trash and cleaning products need to be 20 seconds. Kinda wonder what happens on a regular basis regarding handwashing.

I was excited to try Micholandia, but my experience was far from what I expected. The first bite of my ice cream contained a piece of what looked like plastic or packaging. Finding something like this in my food was not only unappetizing but also concerning for health and safety reasons.
While the ice cream itself tasted fine, the discovery of this piece of plastic completely ruined my experience. I expect better quality control and hygiene from an establishment like this. I would recommend management takes a closer look at their processes to prevent something like this from happening again.
Unfortunately, I won't be returning and cannot recommend this place to others at this time.
