Great sushi right in Longfellow!

We got the sushi combo that came with a lot of variety. The sushi was fresh and tasted great! We also got the poke bowl which was different than others I’ve had- it had fruit in it. The miso soup was delicious. We picked it up so they put it in a coffee cup which was kinda funny. Overall great place and would love to eat inside!

Best sushi experience I’ve had in the Twin Cities since I can remember - and I worked at a sushi place for a while so I have some high standards. The gyoza was amazing and the kaiso salad is my new favorite in the city. Unbelievably tender and perfectly flavored teriyaki chicken with plenty of vegetables and the chicken was unbelievably tender. The sushi platter is probably the best deal on high quality sushi in the cities - great nigiri and rolls. I used to go to Midori’s years ago but have lived across town and just gotten kind of lazy, but after being disappointed by my usual spots, I won’t hesitate to drive a little extra.

Still take out only at their new location, after rebuilding, but I’ve always appreciated both the quality (freshness and taste) and friendliness of their staff. Been eating sushi from here for over ten years. Recently got take out for three, a couple platters (including vegetarian platter which was yummy), and tempura. Never had a bad meal.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian sushi platter!

Parking: Reserved spaces for carry out!

I meant to write this sooner, but I figured later was better than never.. I ordered a large tray of sushi appetizers for 20 people for a Christmas Eve get together with my family. Despite my knowing very little about Japanese cooking and sushi in particular, Midori patiently walked me through the different types of sushi, made recommendations for quantities and knew exactly what I was looking for. I picked up the completed trays Christmas Eve early afternoon, and they were gorgeous! All of the sushi aficionado in my family were very impressed. Her prices were more than reasonable and I would have no hesitation about returning again. Food was very tasty, the sushi was fresh, and she was a delight to work with. Check her out ! You will not be disappointed

What a wonderful take out experience. Food was ready on time and obviously prepared with care and detail. The food was as delicious as it looked with great flavor although prepared with simplicity. This is a neighborhood gem.

I really love this place. Just all around great and affordable. I really recommend the veggie gyoza ($8). It’s the only gyoza in the cities that I think is hand made and not deep fried. Inari ($2.75) is always a great choice if you’re into tofu skin. Vegan saikoro don ($14) is like a tofu poke bowl with a spicy red sauce. Pretty good, but not my favorite. Kitsune udon ($10) broth has an amazing depth of flavor and tasty noodles.

Great neighborhood sushi place with excellent food! Just wish they would open the inside seating.
