When I heard this place was closing its doors, I knew I had to try it once while I had the chance. Chicken legs, fries, brisket, ribs and a pastrami sandwich. Great smoky flavor in everything. Best pastrami sandwich I have ever had. The brisket was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. The BBQ sauce was amazing. My order also came with an orange color sauce. I have no idea what that sauce was but it was delicious. My only regret is not trying this place sooner. Few can do BBQ this well!

This place is one of, if not the best BBQ joints in the Twin Cities. We like to order on site and then bring it over to Fair State Brewing a block away to pair it with a beer. We were really disappointed to hear that they were closing so we're coming here once a week until their last day.

The brisket and fries were awesome. Only criticism I have is no burnt ends on the menu and the brisket isn't sold by 1/4 pound increments. Serving size was perfect for lunch but for dinner I would have ordered twice as much.

Wow! The brisket is legit one of the best briskets I've ever had the pleasure of eating. If you dig excellent que this place is for you!

We had the brisket, pork ribs and smoked chicken legs. Everything was super DEE-licious! As good as anything we tried in TX, best we’ve had in MN.

It was so good. Huge chicken legs. Might have been the best baked beans I have ever had. I will definitely be back.

Had this delivered to the house, which I know isn't the ideal way to eat bbq but we were in a time pinch. We each had the brisket sandwich with the bbq beans and fries. The sandwich was very solid, but the beans were actually the highlight of the meal. Fries were solid as well! Overall a solid BBQ spot that you should try if you're in Northeast!

If I could give this place a 10 I would. Today I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, which was delicious and came on Texas toast. All their BBQ is always tender. My husband and I frequently get a full rack of ribs which are the best in town. Brisket is also great. In the summer fried green tomatoes are a treat. Overall everything I've ever had here is interesting, exciting and delicious. Amazing sauce and pickles.
Our 230th BBQ stop across 25 states, the 14th in Minnesota.Writing for Eat This, Not That, Luke Gralia made this his top BBQ choice in the state. We disagree.Parking here is on street, and there is no table space inside or out. This is strictly a take out/delivery establishment. This may account for the curious nature of the menu. Here you will not find pulled or chopped pork, sausage or hot links, turkey or burnt ends. Nor will you find mac 'n cheese, coleslaw, or greens. The menu is very limited, and calls to mind a small food truck rather than a brick and mortar. With so limited a menu, the food needs to be top notch all the way around, but what we found here was very much hit and miss. The brisket is a definite hit: the fatty end is moist and tender, with well rendered fat, good bark, and a passable pink ring. The potato salad is also outstanding. Alas, the seasoned fries were mushy, with fully a third of them uncooked. And the baked beans were so heavily seasoned that the seasoning was all that we could taste-- a real shame since the dish is loaded with brisket. But the major disappointment was the pork ribs. Again, the rub was so heavily over seasoned that we could not taste the meat at all. When we scraped some of the rub off, we uncovered a fat cap on the center of some of the ribs that was a full 5/16ths of an inch thick. Yuck! Taste wise, the rib meat itself was pretty much middle of the pack, so we sauced it with tomato and vinegar based sauces from Dreamland and Tyler's, both of which improved the flavor profile. In sum, there is obvious potential here, but Minnesota Barbecue Company still has a long way to go.If you would like to read more reviews of BBQ in Minnesota, or elsewhere in the continental US, you can consult our 49 published lists by following us, and then scrolling down through the current stack of reviews and photos. First time trying this place today and I was not disappointed at all! I asked what for a recommendation and I was told the brisket and ribs were a must try and that they were! The compressed melon side dish was amazing as well! I will be coming back ?

Very small but clean and nice! BBQ sauces were amazing. Fresh meat with awesome crispy skin. Only complaint is value. Three very small slices of brisket and potato salad for $20.
