We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Tammy and the Mintahoe team! Tammy was incredibly kind, responsive, and organized—she made the planning process smooth and stress-free. On our wedding day, she went above and beyond to ensure that both we and our guests felt comfortable and well taken care of. The venue was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff was professional and attentive. We are so grateful for everything they did to help make our day truly special and would absolutely recommend Tammy and Mintahoe Catering & Events to any couple planning their wedding!
TL;DR: The food was great, the staff was excellent, and the day-of service went smoothly. However, the planning and billing process was frustrating, marked by disorganization, poor communication, and a lack of transparency with payments. While the event itself was lovely, the experience leading up to it fell short of what you'd expect from a high-end caterer.
We recently used Mintahoe for our June 2025 wedding. There were some definite highlights, most notably, the food was very good and the service staff was exceptional. Table settings were gorgeous and it’s very convenient that they offer all dining inclusions needed. Our guests had many compliments, and the day itself went smoothly from a catering and service standpoint.
However, the planning process leading up to the event was frustrating and, at times, disheartening, especially for a company that presents itself as a luxury caterer. From the beginning, we felt locked into working with Mintahoe due to our venue's exclusive partnership with them. Despite booking well in advance (back in 2023), the last 6months of planning were marked by disorganization. We were passed between multiple representatives and assistants resulting in inconsistent communication.
We genuinely tried to be understanding. As a nurse, I recognize how internal staffing challenges can impact workflow. But as our wedding approached, the lack of follow-through became increasingly stressful: delayed responses, needing to follow up multiple times for basic information, and crucial details like final meal selections and the event invoice being addressed only two weeks before the wedding.
Even more concerning were repeated requests for large payments without proper or updated invoices. We had to persistently ask for clarification and documentation just to ensure we understood what we were paying for. In several instances, we received unprofessional emails requesting thousands of dollars without the necessary breakdowns, and it felt like different departments weren’t communicating with one another.
After the wedding, we believed everything had been settled and paid in full, until we received an email claiming we still owed money. We responded with receipts and dates and asked for clarification if there was any misunderstanding. We received no response. Then, we were sent our refundable deposit check in the mail, but with a deduction for this unexplained amount. The accompanying final event summary included increased fee amounts and surprise gratuities, despite us tipping the staff directly on the day of the event. We are genuine people and simply asked for transparency, not silence and a reduced refund.
In summary: Overall, the wedding day was a success and we are happily married. The day-of team delivered, and our guests had a wonderful time. But the planning and billing process was inconsistent, stressful, and below the standard expected from a high-end catering service. We genuinely hope Mintahoe takes this feedback seriously and uses it to improve their services for future clients.

Brooklyn is extremely nice to deal with on a phone call. She was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Take caution booking this caterer or any venue that uses them as their preferred caterer. We assumed the service would match the high price tag, but couldn’t have been more wrong.
From booking with them in February 2024 to our wedding in June 2025, we had 5 different points of contact. Each time, we were never told that our point of contact had changed. We had to email into the void for sometimes months at a time, then reach out to someone at the venue or higher at the company to find out we had been placed with someone else.
A few incidents that stand out:
- We registered for our tasting over email, and when we showed up they didn’t have us on the list.
- We asked a simple question about the bar inclusions, followed up 4 or 5 times, and could not get anyone to answer whether or not the bar had grenadine. Communication was HARD with this company.
- We wanted to know what the options were for our cake, and were told we couldn’t discuss that yet 6 weeks before the wedding (?)
- By the time the 3 week out mark rolled around, we didn’t have a floor plan, cake plan, final numbers, updated proposal, or plan for our bar. WE had to initiate setting up a final meeting
- Final meeting date rolled around (18 days before the wedding), our sales rep failed to attend the meeting. We emailed multiple people and didn’t hear from anyone at the company for 24 hours. According to our contract, our final payment had been due that day and all final details were due 14 days out.
- We didn’t solidify final details until 4 days out
The lack of organization and knowledge was glaringly obvious throughout our planning process, and the number of times we had to follow up about our questions or initiate next steps was completely unprofessional and very disheartening. We were slipping through the cracks every 5 seconds for this company, which felt so crappy given the amount of money we HAD to spend on them and the looming date of our wedding. We felt we were nothing but a guaranteed paycheck for them.
Luckily, the food was good and staff was wonderful day of. The planning process was a nightmare. Giving two stars here instead of one was exclusively because of Christy who stepped in at the last minute to help us sort out final details.

Mintahoe was the perfect caterer for our wedding, and I can’t recommend them enough! From the very beginning, working with them was a pleasure. Not only was the service and food top-notch, but Morgan also went above and beyond to ensure all my questions were answered, dietary restrictions were considered, and my vision was executed perfectly.
They were incredibly helpful with brainstorming seating chart ideas and came up with great suggestions to bring my vision to life. Everything about the food and service was exactly what we had hoped for, and they made the entire process so smooth and easy.
I can’t thank Mintahoe enough and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional catering services!

Whoever is driving v32 is drunk or very tired. They cut me off on 35 heading north and then we're not able to maintain their Lane swerving into the lane to the right and to the left for quite a while
Restaurantji Recommends
Mintahoe catered a fantastic pasta bar on 11/27 for a company thanksgiving lunch. The food was delicious and flavorful, and the service was great! Their variety and quality are amazing.
We were pleased to choose Mintahoe as our catering vendor for our wedding event. A multiple of our vendors had worked with Minathoe and recommended us, making it an easy option to choose them.
Pros
- Extremely professional in all forms of correspondence during the weeks leading up to the event and the day of the event. There were pretty much no disruptions during the day of the event
- Dedicated staff of team who handled our event with great care
- Very accommodating and flexible, such as getting on calls during late evening due to time difference or on weekends and agreeing to last minute changes to food options
- Addressed all questions and concerns pertaining the event management and quotation
Cons
- Changes in two event managers with poor transition. This was quickly made up by the last event manager as she did an amazing job getting aligned and up to speed
- Geode style cake was requested. The work on the cake was sub par
We recently worked with Mintahoe/Professional Food Services for an organization-wide lunch. Steve Palmer was excellent to work with and the food was fantastic! Definitely will reach out to Steve for another event in the future.
I had my wedding on 10/26 and was helped with planning by elise. She made everything very easy and pain-free. Our wedding was flawless. When we arrived for the day, we were blown away by the decor set up by Cheryl. The decor she set out was nothing short of amazing, it was better than anything i could have hired out and paid for. She made our spooky halloween wedding so amazing! She handed out masks for all of the workers to help with our costume themed wedding, and helped us last minute with a chair shortage. I'm almost positive my wedding dreams came true with your help. Thank you!!!!
We loved our venue, Solar Arts. It was the perfect relaxed and elegant vibe we were looking for. There are many amazing places throughout the building to take pictures. Mintahoe was great to work with! Kelly was helpful throughout the process and amazing the day of the wedding. The food was good (the Moroccan tagine was the best, and neither one of us are vegetarians). Highly recommend.
