Quality beer and a very nice space. It has softened its industrial feel overtime, hosted some awesome events and proven it's place as strong member of the community. If you are looking for great beer and a great vibe, head to Modist.
best beers in Minnesota
Very good beer, friendly staff. Nice mix of beer styles.
Best place for putting and the brews.
The beers are great. The environment and vibe is fun. The staff was the best part.
As someone who works at a brewery out of town, multiple coworkers at Border Brewing in KC recommended Modist Brewing and I can confirm they make great beer and are great people.
It was our first time at Modist, definitely won't be our last.
P.S. Joe is awesome and a true asset to this brewery. Thanks for the beer!
They’ve got their vibe down. Lots of beer, good music, and comfortable seating. We noticed someone had brought their dog with them which was really cute and there’s a photo booth in the back. They had a single N/A option listed but it was unavailable when I asked about it which was a little disappointing.
Atmosphere: Fun and Vibrant
Staff: Friendly and Fun to chat with
Beers: A great variety of beers on tap and in cans
Should you go?: Yes
We had a fun time at Modist, our Beer tender, Joe was super helpful. We asked him to take is on a flavor journey through all the beers. Megan and I shared the beers and we were not disappointed. We recommend the oak aged red. It's a solid beer. You can't go wrong with the lagers or the hazys. The barrel aged stout was also delicious.
We were also very impressed by how much they support the local art scene. Displaying works from many local artists.
Good beer with a good variety of sizes and pricing
Horrible service
One of our ( me and my dog) favorite breweries in the Northloop. They are super dog friendly and staff is attentive and down to earth. Appreciate the Happy Hour!!!

Great place with fun atmosphere!
Wonderful spot. Can't wait to go back!
Big space.. good beers.. devoted followers.. service staff is very nice.
Awesome super friendly brewery! Gabriel was very informative and gave me great recommendations for the area before the BoSox game. If there was a perfect brewery vibe this is it!
Used the Teal Room event space for our Wedding Welcome Party May 2025. Fortunately, this is the only poor review I am leaving from our entire wedding weekend.
The event coordinator changed from signing the contract to our event date. The coordinator never confirmed the layout with us so as we arrived there was stressful energy in the air. The coordinator was short tempered with several family members. They were asking her questions for setup and I can see how they may have been annoying but she is in customer service after all...not something the bride wants to be hearing about during the party.
Worst part was that the projector (included in the contract) did not work. We had spent hours putting together a slideshow with old photos that included every single one of our guests. The event coordinator helped try to fix it for a short period and then gave up. She should have outsourced or called the manager as a the manager later told us. Instead, my husband and his family were trying to fix the projector for the entire duration of the party. I had to pull my husband away so we could just enjoy the celebration. It never worked that night.
On a positive note, the space was great for 120 people. The beer is good. You can also bring in your own catering. I am also grateful that they gave us a partial refund for our experience but even that took 1.5 months because it is very difficult to get in touch with management.
Currently I'm planning my 20 year high school reunion at another brewery. I am sad to say that I would not use them again for an event after this experience.
