Fantastic Moroccan. The lamb tangine was amazing, fell off the bone and delicious. Salads were complex and flavorful, just like the flavors in Morocco. Portions are large and a great value. Highly recommend

The food is nothing short of spectacular. Every dish bursts with layers of flavor — rich, slow-cooked tagines with tender meats that fall off the bone, couscous so light and fluffy it could be a meal on its own, and mezze plates that showcase the perfect balance of savory, tangy, and sweet. The lamb with prunes and almonds was a standout, melting in the mouth with a hint of sweetness, while the Kofta - Marinated Ground Beef was a delightful surprise
Equally impressive is the service. The Owner is warm, attentive, and eager to share the stories behind each dish. You don’t just eat here — you experience Moroccan hospitality at its finest.
To end this meal, the mint tea ceremony is a must. Watching the tea poured gracefully from above into delicate glasses is as much a performance as it is a treat. Paired with honey-drenched pastries, it’s the perfect finale to an unforgettable evening.
If you’re looking for more than just a meal — if you want a culinary escape to the heart of Morocco — this restaurant is absolutely unmissable.

Really unique and cool venue. Super-friendly people. Lamb shank tagine, beets, artichoke hearts and eggplant were some of the best food I have ever had. I look forward to going back soon.

Stopped by Moroccan Flavors inside Midtown Global Market and loved it! The chicken couscous was tender, full of flavor, and perfectly paired with the vegetables and spices. The traditional mint tea was refreshing and a great balance of sweetness. I also enjoyed the side salads—fresh, colorful, and tasty. The whole experience felt authentic, and the staff was welcoming. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a real taste of Morocco in Minneapolis!

It’s obvious that this food is created with love, I enjoy the meal each time and the service is just as friendly. Also very reasonably priced and delicious food. Always fresh. Large portion sizes. It’s been a long time since I have walked away smiling this much from a meal not only because of the taste and atmosphere, but because it’s obvious how much effort and care are made in preparing the food. Enjoy!

Absolutely delicious and authentic!
I recently visited Moroccan Flavors at Midtown Global Market, and it was a wonderful experience. The vegetable couscous was incredibly flavorful and satisfying — perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. You can really taste the love and tradition in every bite. The tagines looked amazing too!
The staff were kind and welcoming, and the service was fast and friendly. If you’re looking for a halal-friendly option or just want to try something new and tasty, this place is a must. Highly recommend for anyone craving real Moroccan comfort food!

I used to live in the Mpls area so I still visit my family often. I needed vegetables! My husband and I went to Morocco a couple of yrs ago and loved it. I was pleasantly surprised to see a Moroccan restaurant in the Global Market! The food was divine. The variety of vegetables was an awesome surprise. The gentleman who suggested food and waited on us was pleasant. We ordered the lamb shank and vegetables. Along with the chicken and grain bowl. My Mom loves pickled beets so she was ecstatic to eat them. All of our food was tasty and well presented. There were 3 of us and we only ordered two entrees and had leftovers so their portions are hearty. I'd come back here in a heartbeat.

Its our first time eating Moroccan food. We love it! We tried shrimp Tagine and Lamb Tagine. Love the sampling salad with several flavors and refreshing. Mint tea is refreshing too.
Delicious food, good portion, reasonable price. Owner is a chef. He is friendly.
They have 6-7tables.
The location is a bit hidden in the corner. It may not be obvious if you walk pass too quickly

Our recent family lunch at Moroccan Flavors, located in Midtown Global Market, felt like stepping into a warm Moroccan embrace. The soothing blue décor, inspired by Chefchaouen, created a calm oasis—a welcome contrast to the lively energy of the surrounding food hall. The open layout, with both group and counter seating, offered comfort and flexibility for families and solo diners alike.
We began with a sampler of Mediterranean salads: spicy cauliflower, roasted beets, marinated peppers, and more, served with toasted baguette. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and meticulously prepared, and the variety kept everyone at the table engaged. For our main courses, we chose the lamb shank tagine, chicken tagine, and beef couscous. The lamb shank stood out as especially memorable—tender, deeply seasoned, and exceptionally satisfying. The chicken tagine featured preserved lemon, olives, and aromatic turmeric rice, perfectly balancing brightness and warmth. The beef couscous was hearty and comforting, with generous portions and rich flavor.
The staff made the experience even more enjoyable. Chef Hassan and his team welcomed us warmly and offered helpful recommendations, treating us like guests in their own home. The hospitality was genuine, and the service was efficient without feeling rushed. There was a sense of pride and personal touch in every aspect of the meal.
On the practical side, prices are reasonable, with sandwiches and tagines in the $12–$16 range. The menu includes vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, making it easy for families with different dietary needs. Food is served quickly, which is convenient when dining with children or on a tight schedule.
There are a few things to consider. The Midtown Global Market can get crowded and noisy, especially during peak hours, so it might not be the best setting for quiet conversation. Seating is shared and casual, and the environment is more bustling than formal. Some popular items, like the lamb shank tagine, are made in limited batches, so it’s best to arrive early for the full selection.
If you plan to visit, I recommend arriving before the lunch rush, trying a variety of salads to sample the mezze, and ordering the lamb shank tagine if it’s available. The hot mint tea is a perfect way to end the meal, and it’s worth exploring the rest of the market afterward for a complete experience.
Overall, our visit to Moroccan Flavors was both delicious and welcoming. The culinary quality, attentive service, and vibrant setting made for a memorable family meal. It’s an excellent choice for anyone seeking authentic Moroccan cuisine in Minneapolis, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a flavorful and family-friendly dining experience.
