Their food is always absolutely delicious. Although we had a small issue with an item, Chef Don reached out to us and genuinely offered assistance. That type of customer service and care is rare to find, today. It is very much appreciated. We have not been to the restaurant, but have only ordered through delivery services, but we definitely plan to visit in person, now.

I love this place. They have good food and a great happy hour. The bartender with the big bun on her head is so funny. I love her sense of humor. My one complaint is the pickles they serve with the sandwich. Not good.Everything else is good tho so I’ll come back.

Neighborhood dive with familiar faces on both sides of the bar. Great staff. Great prices. Great shows. Great food. The nom nom specials they run throughout the week are amazing. The Cajun chicken (or shrimp or both!) alfredo is delish and starts at $14. Kickin' deal for the amount of food you get. Great smoking patio. Darts, pinball, Golden Tee. A PHOTO BOOTH upstairs! 2 separate bars with 2 different but excellent vibes. The owner is personable, present, and an all around great dude. He's been a part of the neighborhood in one capacity or another for quite some time. Either tending bar himself back in the day or now as someone who has more than one business in the area that employs a bunch of people, he's been investing into Minneapolis for years. A staple comfy, home- away- from- home place.Parking: Park on Franklin or on Aldrich. If you're lucky, there is a small parking lot behind the bar!

Decided to have dinner at Mortimer's last week and I'm glad I did. Ordered nacho platter for an appetizer. We decided to add beef, chicken, and black beans to it. Amazing! Their special that night was Fettuccine Alfredo which we ordered with both chicken and shrimp for $18? The portion was significant, and it was perfectly cooked. Finally, I got the Coney dog platter and they're take on a Coney dog is a little different than the Gopher Bar in Saint Paul, however, it was also a great entree. Mortimer's is definitely a place to check out as it won't disappoint!

The Owner keeps allowing ONE bartender to pour drinks out after she finds out a customer didn't tip...(Ive seen her pour it out multiple times and make them pay for it). her terrible service she provides deserves no money whatsoever. Let alone she takes 40 minutes to even acknowledge your existence. Pretty sure she doesn't know how to smile either or even be a nice person.

Mortimer's is legendary. The foods great, the staffs second to none. From security to bartenders and everyone in between, they are all exceptional. This might actually be my favorite bar of all time.

Under new ownership and management, this place is like a whole new bar with a HUGE breath of life blown into it's whole atmosphere!!! I've gotta say that I really miss Lyle and the old Gringo's (any locals will know what I'm talking about, and I'm sure will feel the same :-( ) but the changes that the Bars new owner has made would have done the old odd couple some real good. First they have made the middle bar that's connected to "Oliver's" (that's what the middle/upstairs bar is actually called but no 9ne calls it that lol) is now a live music stage and venue!!! And it's extra cozy for an intimate showcase no matter who is playing that night, and if it's game night or day than that's where the big screen is at, GO VIKINGS!!!!! No worries this ain't a sports bar BUT it sure ain't no Packers bar either!!! 9h there is still tons of fun for all you foosball players and LOTS of pinball for everyone, I think they even rotate their machines! The Food 8s great, with new items on the menu and the kitchen is open and serving food till 1am (bars open till 2am of course) the crowd seems to have shifted a bit to a little bit more modern from what I've seen lately and that is a good thing and I love the guy walking around with the awesome Chihuahua (don't worry it's a real Service Dog) oh yeah that's me lol :-) the drinks are always good and the crowd is as friendly as you'll get in Uptown Minneapolis without running into an even amount of Douchebaggins that you can't avoid at most places in this area of town as of recent, so Kudos to everyone at Mortimers for keeping this Uptown neighborhood staple alive and full of new fun!!! Check out their live music schedule, awesome happy hour prices, friendly staff, and great food today!!Hey if you like my review, please take a second to hit the "thumbs up" button and possibly even "share" this review with a friend or on social media!
