It’s been a long time since I’ve been to uptown so I was excited to be on a date with my partner exploring. Happen to come across this very cute cafe which really I don’t drink a lot of coffee and neither does my partner, but we were heading to the car and I wanted to grab a quick soda. My lovely partner asked for a cold coffee with caramel. So often when I’m not sure what to order or know she doesn’t either. I inquire suggestions from my barista, server, chef, etc because who knows better. I also approached my server with friendliness, I am at fault for the fact that I can be a very anxious shopper. My server was more than irritated with me for even thinking I should be asking her any questions and should just know what I want. I’ve never actually had a person in the customer service industry be so obviously condescending to me , even to telling me she’s not a mind reader. Then I look to the different colored cans that I thought were sodas, for myself, and asked what they were since EVERY single one was turned the other direction in glass so I could not see any sort of label. Nor a sign with options, I definitely looked so not to receive the wrath of my server. Her response : “tea” I’m perplexed am I out of line for asking??? Maybe I have it all wrong and she’s believes everyone has super powers except her. Me: what kind? Flavors?
And so this goes on. By the end of this I order nothing at all. Waste my time.
In my mind I felt like I did something horrible to offend this person, it’s been a long time since I even allowed myself to think it may have been color of my skin since everyone else the place had taken there order with her and seemed happy. But I think I’d rather believe she’s just rude to anyone that comes in that queries.
But in the end I thank her for bringing me and Gabby together next door at the Moona Moono who was more than helpful guiding me with best recommendations on boba tea I’ve never had before. If it wasn’t for this poor experience I would never had received the experience I had just next door. I even got the Boone of my partner finding “the best coffee” she’s ever had. (Maple latte)
I don’t think miserable people should be order taking. Especially when often time their teams split tips.

Went to go grab coffee. I am not much of a coffee drinker so I didn’t know what to get. Instead of a recommendation, we were told by the lady taking our order, “I’m not a mind reader”… after we stated the things we DID like in coffee… What kind of service is that? So we went next door to Moona Moono and got greeted kindly, and told the barista what we DID like in coffee and boba and she gave us amazing recommendations. Since moving to uptown about 2 years ago, I’ve been on the hunt for the best vanilla latte in the area. I’ve tried dozens of places and measure the latte on taste, sizing, price, and drink-to-ice ratio. This cafe takes 1st for me. It is absolutely the best vanilla latte I have had in uptown, and I’ve been here a few times so it wasn’t just a one-time experience! The latte is extremely reasonably priced and sized, it’s never too sweet, and it is super delicious. The staff here are SO sweet, AND the cafe is right next to my favorite bookstore!! The first time I went, someone even stopped me on the street to ask where I got my coffee. It’s that good ❤️

dude!!!!! I was here for three days straight and let me tell you, their espresso is the freaking best! Also for three days straight, me and my partner grabbed tomato danishes because they were so good! The coffees they make is usually not too sweet but the espresso is so good you dont need that! My favorite was the kadence and their peachy vanilla latte, my partner’s favorite was their pineapple express the most but their matcha overall is up to his standards (he’s a matcha connoisseur lol) I usually dont care for service but they stuck out so well for how friendly they are!! Super warm and welcoming :)
Want to go to a cozy spot with great coffee and good vibes? Come to mosaic coffee! The drinks are great. I enjoy the alarm clock (I know oh and espresso sounds weird but it works!). The staff there are amazing people. They are so kind.
