- This is my favorite steakhouse in the cities. Originally, we were deciding between Murray’s vs. Manny’s (we heard both are really good steakhouses), but we ended up going with Murray’s this time because we heard the sides were amazing and a must try. We got the silver butter knife steak for two as well as thai chili brussels sprouts and and mac n cheese. These were all dishes and sides that were recommended to us by friends, and I highly recommend them. The steak for two included a choice of soup or salad. We got the lobster bisque (it was the soup of the day). Everything tasted really good. I liked the brussells sprouts more than the mac n cheese; the mac n cheese was a bit more thick than I expected but still really good. Our steak was cut in front of us, but the presentation of the steak after our waiter cut isn’t as good as other steak presentations. It all ended up in our stomaches though! Definitely recommend!

I and My partner visited this Restaurant and Nothing about it was pleasant our sever was rude and short with response , we ordered appetizers we never received Then the food came and I didn’t even eat it cause we only received some of what we ordered and there was no quality customer service to try to fix any of the mishap we also ordered a bottle of wine, we got our food boxed and left Id never visit again nor recommend this place

We're so glad we tried out Murray's, a Twin Cities institution for three generations. The steak was terrific. There is unique and delicious bread brought to the table that beats the chains--garlic toasts and freshly made pretzels. The ambiance was perfect--busy but not loud. Our server was very pleasant and attentive--really the whole staff was. The hash browns were unforgettable too. Self parking was very nearby.

Loved everything about Murray's on this visit except perhaps the steak. Our server, Carter, was quite good, polite, friendly, and kept up on the drinks. The Marie Murray's Manhattan (I believe it was called) was great, as was the second. We both ordered the Tournedos of Beef, consisting of a pair of 3 oz tenderloin medallions, along with a crab cake and asparagus, cooked medium. We each received our steaks a bit overcooked and a bit dry. Not a ton of flavor, though the tasty bearnaise helped. (Morton's, back when in operation in Mpls, made something similar but much more seared and garlicky, and perhaps I was subliminally hoping for that?) All-in, it was fine if disappointing. Carter brought us a delightful slice of chocolate cake and ice cream as an anniversary treat. The other highlight was, oddly, the complimentary buttery toast served in a basket. OMG. I could have eaten a dozen. Oh, and let me compliment their valet, willing and able to drive a stick. Murray's is a fantastic old-school Mpls marvel. We'll be back.

My wife and I's annual tradition to go here for Christmas. The silver butter knife streak is one of the most succulent cuts of meat you'll have. The lobster was absolutely amazing. No bad things to say about this place. Customer service is over the moon! Will be back.

Best Steak i have had.. I travel and visit many great steak houses around the country... this is one of the best in the US.. Had dinner with a client and his team this evening and the NY strip was a 10 out of 10. Staff was friendly , professional and attentive.

Staying in the hotel next door and decided to try it. Murrays was highly recommended to us by several local people. It did not disappoint. Everything was delicious. The service was excellent. Oscar constantly checked on us and he wasn't even our waiter. We ordered the carb cakes and the Silver Butternife steak (comes with one side and your choice of salad and soup for two). It was tender and absolutely delicious. The meal is more like for four people than two, so easy on the bread basket if you can resist. The dessert was refreshing. Made us feel like we were eating something healthy.
