Nader Persian restaurant

We were in Minneapolis for the day and wanted to try a new restaurant. Nader popped up and I’m SO glad it did. We were there at 3:30ish, in time for a late lunch/early dinner after a show at the Guthrie Theater.

We ordered the Fesenjan (a chicken dish with pomegranate) and the Dizzy (a beef dish with chickpeas and potatoes) to share, along with hot tea. The Fesenjan was served with pita and the Dizzy came with a side of saffron-flavored rice with pomegranate arils on top. Our food was served quickly and was perfect comfort food for a chilly day.

The restaurant is small but had a cozy feel. Our server was attentive and kind. While we were there, we had a chance to talk with the owner and to learn about their family and their restaurant, which has been open in Minneapolis for about 18 months. They offered us a sample of Bamieh (a rich, sweet dessert) to try, too.

If you are in the area, I hope you will check it out. I can’t wait to go back and try more of the food.

Absolutely loved this place! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, creating a warm and positive vibe from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish bursting with fresh flavors. It's clear they put a lot of care into their ingredients and preparation. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal in a friendly, inviting atmosphere!

OMG! Eating at this restaurant was such a lovely experience! I felt like I was in my hometown! The food was amazing. I've tried many Persian restaurants in the US, but this one was the best Kebab I've ever had. Everything was just GREAT! The juicy kebab, the Ash Reshteh, the Kashke Bademjoon, and the Bamiyeh! All were made by an Iranian chef, something you cannot find in many places. The people were so kind and they offered many foods on the house! If you ever visit Minneapolis, you MUST try this place!

Nader Persian Restaurant has some of the best Persian food in the USA! As a Persian, I can confidently say that the kebabs are perfectly grilled, and the rice is bursting with flavor. The cozy vibe makes it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. If you’re craving authentic Persian cuisine, this is definitely the spot to check out!

Wonderful mom and pop restaurant with excellent fresh, home made foods and deserts. Just like mom used to make. We had the Soltani kabob , which is not on the list offered to choose from in this review. Highly recommend this special place. You won’t be disappointed.

I live away from my parents and Nader has become my home away from home. The owners are the sweetest and kindest family and cook the best Persian food I have had in the US. The food is made with motherly love every single time. Highly recommend visiting.
