Nico's Taco and Tequila Bar

I went there yesterday, I asked for one of this Halloween drinks, it say on Instagram all of them are festive cups but mine was a simple glass. We asked for 2 drinks but we only got one. We waited for an hour for the rest of the food and the other drink, Which never came. No one asked us if need something else. Would not come back.

I always recommend Nico's especially when they do their holiday pop ups! Christmas is always THE BEST but their first ever Halloween pop up is already killer (literally) and making its mark !

I had the lenguas tacos, the meat was deliciously seasoned and melted in my mouth. The salsa verde poblano, the salsa de arbol, roasted corn salsa, salsa verde tomatillo were also really great with the light and perfectly salted chips. I had a margarita pepino which was super refreshing. Service was friendly and fast. Great spot to chill outside on a nice day and get some happy hour or dinner.. 10/10

The service and atmosphere is also so inviting and wonderful. Recently Tyler was our server and he was great!

I live about a 2min walk from here and decided to give it a try so I ordered takeout. I got the Pescado taco and the Pastor Taco, the Zona Rosa, Verde Serrano, and Roasted Tomatillo salsas and chips.

The Pescado taco was delicious as well as the salsas and the chips were perfect! I wasn’t a big fan of the Pastor taco personally, while it has great flavor, the pork was a bit overcooked.

All in all I enjoyed the food and will order again!!

One of my neighborhood faves. Everything I've tried is delicious. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. Their regular decor is a nod to culture and I love their holiday makeover. Definitely worth the hype. Super excited they brought back the late night happy hour too.

All around amazing!! Zero complaints about the restaurant or the food. The only thing I didn't like is when eating outside the tables are very close to the sidewalk, therefore when people walk by they are simply within arm's reach of the table.

Always a solid spot!! I always love getting the salsa flight with the zona rosa being our top fav (but all are excellent). The cocktails are awesome too!

Disappointed at the Hennepin Location

Chorizo Nachos turned into a morning mystery: eggs, potatoes, one jalapeño. Spoiler alert: we didn’t order breakfast.
We're loyal fans of Nico's Taco on Penn and their amazing Chole’s Chorizo Nachos. After kayaking, we tried the Hennepin spot—big mistake.
What we got was a sad plate of eggs, potatoes, barely any chorizo, and a single jalapeño slice. The server claimed it was correct, but it felt more like a breakfast scramble than nachos.
It felt improvised, like they ran out of real ingredients. Sadly, we won’t be back—consistency matters, and this was a total miss.

Cute place with great options for authentic food options and unique beverages. Nice patio and balcony for dining in nice weather. Went on a 90deg÷ day and the a/c inside wasn't quite keeping up... But that's the exception. Very attentive. I imagine they are challenged a little with all the construction on hennipen this year so give them a try!
