We were there for a 9:30 AM breakfast reservation, we had the French Toast and the Fried rice breakfast also a side of bacon and Turkey sausage. The bacon was perfect, the sausage was terrible the French toast and the Fried Rice were both very good. However, the table across from us were 3 people that had obviously had plenty the night before and one individual had this voice that grated like broken glass at a pitch that was hard to describe. It was much nicer after they left.
10/10 experience at Nolo's! I have been here several times and this was one of the best times. I went with a group of girlfriends and from the first moment of meeting our server, we knew it was going to be a great experience. Our waitress was so bubbly, friendly and talkative, making us feel comfortable and answering all of our questions. I have severe allergies and the staff paid careful attention to accommodate me without issues. The manager even came to our table to check in on my food allergies which brought a great piece of mind. The manager was very friendly and helpful, and made sure we were having a great experience. And the food! So good that there was little conversation at the table while we enjoyed our meals. The menu changes quite often so I know there are always new dishes to try every time I plan a meal at Nolo's. Could not recommend this restaurant enough!
We picked this restaurant out of a handful within a short walk to the Luminary Arts Center. Since I noticed in previous reviews that it was noisy, I requested the most quiet spot available. We were happy they showed us to the window tables which worked for us. Service was great. I particularly liked the Loosen Riesling and the Miso Walleye!
Fantastic food for Sunday brunch!! We will be back again the next time we are in Minneapolis!!
Best chicken rice bowl I've ver had! Quality of the food and presentation was amazing.
Absolutely great breakfast food and service was awesome and attentive. Only negative was that they don't have an espresso machine.
The beef steamed buns were delicious- highly recommend! Fun atmosphere and great service- we will be back!
Food was excellent. Quite noisy, but we were given a booth with high backs and were able to easily hear conversation at our table. Love seeing the place was busy with lots of young people and a mix of other ages. Minneapolis is alive and well. Wishing Nolos lots of success.
I hate to do this to a local restaurant but I had a disappointing experience here last weekend…
I wanted to order the Chipotle Sweet Potato Hash but I don’t eat red meat, so I asked if I could swap it for the turkey sausage in the dish and was told it’s restaurant policy to not allow meat substitutions…. The server said I could get it without bacon and then separately order a side of the turkey sausage, which made no sense to me since a side of the bacon and the turkey sausage were equally priced… So that severely limited my options for a savory breakfast options since most have red meat and I ended up getting it without the bacon.
The hollandaise was well seasoned and the kale breakfast salad was DELISH! However, the sweet potatoes were mostly undercooked to the point that they were crunchy and they tasted unseasoned…
Heard such great things about NOLO and this was the opposite of the online reviews and my friends reviews so maybe it was just an off day for the restaurant.

The double cheeseburger was good.🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
However; a couple of tips to make it better.
Tip: 1. Get rid of the bun; too much bread for a double meat burger. Also; consider less bread & a toasted bun.
Tip 2. Treat your to go order customers with dignity..... Keep in mind they could have ordered from somewhere else.
Tip 3. Energy is everything; what you give is what you get in return.

We did not have a reservation for Saturday brunch and were told it would be an hour wait. Instead, we sat at the bar. During the entire time we were at the bar, there were multiple available booths and tables that were never used. After a while, I even asked the hostess if the booths and tables had reservations and she said yes. However, there were many that stayed vacant and available. Also, the Chicken Pozole soup was simple Chicken soup with hominy. It was definitely not Pozole.

The Rice Bowl that I had was not only beautifully arranged and a fantastic variety, but delicious and a good quantity. My friend got the curry, it was very spicy and pretty soupy. Unfortunately the open space was very noisy and made conversation very difficult. I've been here a number of times and have had generally very good experiences, but I will only stay if a booth is available.
