What a delicious lunch! I don't know enough about African food. This seems like a great place to learn. Interior being remodeled - curious to see how it turns out.

This Review is for the last week of 2025. I was craving some African food and seen this was the only place that was open and close to me. So I thought I’d give it a shot. As soon as I walked in I was not greeted and felt un-welcomed. Then I was met with an employee who appeared to be annoyed. I asked a few questions about the menu and he had no knowledge of what I was trying to order even though it was on his menu. I ordered the jollof rice with chicken. The Food was decent. I would not recommend this place if other options are available. Please address your staff’s customer service skills.

Over priced goat. Got 3 bites of goat, a few veggies, 6 slices of plantains for 24 dollars plus a 6 dollar tip. 30 dollars for 3 bites of goat. Never coming back.

Restaurantji Recommends
Jollof rice with chicken thighs ($19): it was soooo goood. Generous portion. I think it was worth it for the price point. Chicken was tender and juicy.
Egusi soup and fufu ($20). it was my first time trying this, so I wasn’t used to the texture and flavor.
Meat pie ($3.50ish): flavorful, has nice portion of filling.
This seems like a small family business, so understandably they seem to be understaff. The line was long and food took awhile to come out. Staff were very kind and friendly. We waited for a little more than 1hour total to order and to get our food. Definitely will come back here again though for the Jollof.

I usually don’t leave reviews but I was kind of sad I paid $18.99 for 4 slices of plantain, 2 bone in bites of a goat leg meat & what seems to be 6lb of Jollof rice (exaggerating) maybe 2.5-3lbof rice 😂😭 the egusi fufu was fire & filling, really meaty!! 🔥 which is all I really wanted but I wanted to try something new (goat meat).. I asked for extra sauce on the Jollof Rice with goat meat & they didn’t follow through maybe a sauce don’t come with goat meat.. idk if it’s because I had it delivered maybe it’s better in person idk I think the consistency of serving sizes shouldn’t matter regardless. I give 5 stars for flavor, taste was good no salt or anything needed to be added. But I give a 3 stars because 4 goat ankles would have been nice for the $40-$45 I spent lol. I’ll be back for the Egusi fufu though!

I ordered 2 different dishes cost about $60 total.
Occra soup+ fufu and attièkè baked fish. I specifically, put on the order instructions for my protein to be beef and cow skin. This was via Uber eat. After receiving my order, the occra sauce has smoked turkey, chicken and beef. I do not eat turkey. So I called and spoke to a guy. Explain the issue, he told me that I was supposed to say beef only in my Instructions making me feel like I put my order was not clear enough. So I asked, why didn't you call the number on the order to have more clarity if it was confusing, he then proceeded to say, because my order was made via Uber eat( which should have my number) with an attitude.
The attièkè was ok. I was just passing spending the night and really wanted some African food. That ruined my day. Anyhow, customer service was not good didn't show no sign of empathy or offer to fix it. Will not recommend.
