The food and service were fantastic. It's a little overpriced for lunch so I don't think I'll be back soon. But it's a great option for the area!

This place is the AYCE I've been looking for in MN. The sushi is so fresh and the portions are great. I only did 1 round of orders. I usually don't order a bunch of rolls since nigiri is my go to. I did order the Spiderman roll to give it a try. The flavors were great, the food was beautifully presented, and the service was wonderful. The server was quick to communicate everything with me. I think most people who complain about the service don't savor their meals or have only been to tokyo sushi (and similar).
The ambiance and layout already tells me it's about quality and not pushing out fried food. The place was super clean and the music was perfect for the restaurant. The sushi chefs sliced per order and made sure my order was presentable and accurate. I'll definitely have to go back to try their ramen since a lot of people were ordering it. This is also one of the only places I've seen offering temaki "taco style" that I missed having in Seattle. *not for AYCE, I believe
If you're looking for thick cut nigiri, flavorful dishes and quality service, this place is for you. If you're looking for cheap thinly cut low quality sushi, 2minute premade mixes, you should go to those cheap AYCE places that are dimly lit so you can't see how dirty it is.

Dissapointed. Got take out, looked like the food was really good on their website. I got the bento box #6 and a pork bun appetizer on the side. The way the pork bun is advertised is not even close to how it was actually given to me. The chicken in my bento box looks and has texture as if they chopped up turkey giblets and put in sauce. It was chewy and fatty, looked and tasted nothing like actual chicken chunks. Super gross. The rice was like glue. The salad was like a spoonful of shredded lettuce with sauce. The sushi roll was nothing like the website pictured either for the bento 6 box. It had no sauces on it at all. I'm extremely dissapointed and will never order from here again. So many other good spots that deserve more business.

Cozy sushi spot with a quiet atmosphere. Simple traditional sushi rolls to scratch that sushi urge.

Food is good, prob the best sushi I've ever had in MN. Don't bring your kids/todlers because they'll charge them full price. Minus 1 star because of that, and they also brought out the wrong order for us a few time. I would recommend it if you don't bring younger kids or don't mind paying full price for them.

Tried the 2-roll lunch special for pick-up. Service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere is great. But both rolls were 90% cucumber and avocado. They tasted great but lacked in the most important part.

TLDR: Great location and atmosphere. Food is mediocre at best. Would not visit again. Much prefer competitors for ala cart and Kyoto for all you can eat. If you like cooked sushi options, you might like this place.
Let me start off with the good:
The workers were very kind and friendly. The location is great being right next to the light rail and several other restaurants where you can head over to grab dessert afterwards.
The restaurant itself is clean and well decorated.
For those who don't like raw fish but want to try sushi, or you are trying sushi for the first time and are apprehensive, this might be a good consideration. They have several shrimp tempura.
The less good
The food is only okay in my opinion. The option of rolls is standard but the rolls themselves have an imbalance of fish to rice to filling ratio. It weighs heavy towards the rice. The rice isnt as well seasoned.
The sashimi is cut much too thick but other than that the sashimi is good.
My friends got the all you can eat option and for parties of 2 to 6 people, they allow you only 6 orders per round. This is fine if you want to order their rolls but makes it impossible to get enough food if you want to order sashimi/nigiri or any of the specialty items which is usually what you want to get more of when you do all you can eat.

Restaurantji Recommends
I was skeptical of another option for AYCE sushi so went into it thinking it would taste like every other AYCE. I was wrong. Okie Dokie is much better than other AYCE like Kyoto's, Tokyo Sushi. Ichiban, etc..
The presentation was clean and they do not skimp out on the fish in their rolls. Sashimi/Nigiri were as thick as they SHOULD be! The fish to rice ratio was on point. Only negative thing I would say is it is slower but that's because its better

Did the ayce for $40 a person. Pros: Food and presentation was good. Has different rolls from other ayce restaurants.
Cons. Although the food was good, not sure it’s worth $40. First time there and I feel like we were ignored. Slow service and they were not even busy when we got there. At one point we were the only table eating. Last round we ordered 6 pieces nigiris and an appetizer, again, we were the only people there. That was the longest almost 20 minutes wait. How long does it take to slap pieces of fish on rice? Beware that their ayce menu are all regular menu portion size. If you order a soup, you’re probably done eating after that. So, you pay $40 for a bowl of soup. You can’t even try many things on the menu because everything is full size.
Food is pretty good, but very bad customer service. Also SUPER SLOW! They take 25-30 minutes on preparing orders. We spent 2 hrs there and over half of that time was spent on waiting for food. Other than us four on one table, there’s just 2 other tables with like 1-2 customers each. So NO, they’re not “busy” at all. A lot of the workers were just standing around. All of that time preparing, they didn’t even bring some of the food we ordered.
After our bad experience with them, we went over their reviews and noticed that a lot of customers had the same experience. But they kept making excuses saying “we’re busy since it’s a Friday night”. Well we went in on a Monday night, and there were a few to no customers. In fact when we first arrived, there was no one else there.
I feel like they’re purposely taking their sweet time so our food will settle in our stomach before we can eat any more. For an “All You Can Eat” restaurant, if you’re gonna be stingy and fear that people will actually eat their money’s worth, you shouldn’t make your restaurant an ”All You Can Eat”, because obviously you can’t afford it.

Let me tell you this first… the food does taste fantastic and is presented very beautifully.
But the staff were on their phones the whole time me and my boyfriend where here, other than making the food. As a manager of an establishment I would be furious if I was paying someone to sit (literally on the ground) on their phones.
Another thing that was weird was when i ordered my Appetizer (Spring Rolls) it was suppose to come with 6 pieces. I did not know they were going to be half of a spring roll. Definitely not worth paying $6 for 6 halves of a spring roll.

We did all-you-can-eat. Some items not included on that and so I wish I just dined regularly. Still good sushi though, and somewhat different taste than other sushi around town.
