The Brisket was tasty and tender
This is Famous Dave’s before the franchise. Led by Dave’s son, Robert and the team here make the kind of BBQ that made Famous Dave’s famous. 10/10
The brisket was a little tough and in theral there were four slices about 1/4 inch thick and 4 inches by 2.75 inches, a cup of mashed potato, a large cookie size corn bread and two slices of pickled cucumbers with one slice of pickled red onion. The platter was an okay amount of food but a little light. No pop, just water for around $22 which includes all taxes.
We had Old Southern Bbq cater for our wedding and it was absolutely an amazingly positive experience! The director of catering, Amy, was so helpful and on top of everything. The catering team was absolutely wonderful! All of our guests ranted and raved about the food all night, especially the potato salad and the cornbread muffin tops. Would definitely recommend!
The food is fantastic. I had the sampler and was very pleased. Dave's beans are my favorite and I could swear that he stole my grandmother's slaw recipe!
We were first time visitors and it was a disappointment to have to stand in the busy entryway trying to read the unfamiliar wall menu and then take up the cashier's time with questions. Maybe we'll order ahead next time.
The brisket sandwich was really good for my first time being there
The smell of BBQ led me here for the first time and it didn’t disappoint! Got a BYOBowl , Brisket was tender and flavorful! Was only a little busy due to it being Father’s Day weekend but worth the wait!
Will be coming back soon to try rest of menu and sauces!
Small, but clean and not too loud. Food was really good. I had smoked wings 5 pc, they were nice size and tasted really good and the sauces were great!. The potato salad was a little hard, but I think that's because they were getting ready to close, but when I told them, they very apologetic and willing to swap for some very soft delicious cornbread ( probably jiffy) 😁, but it was good.
I love their beef brisket and the St. Louis style ribs. I have done takeout and eat in; great experiences.
They emptied the trash from the kitchen out of the front door as I walked in. It was literally wet, dripping, garbage all over the floor, and I had to touch the door handle.

Tiniest meal I’ve ever had for $30….never again! The flavor was good but portion size was for a child.

Went for a walk with the family, was hungry stopped in great service perfect prices food just awesome. If your in Minnesota be sure to stop here. Accommodated a dog on the back patio for us, we walked out to sit down and food was practically on our heals, gives famous Dave's a run for their money honestly I would eat here instead. Thank you.

My husband and I used them as the caterer for our wedding and they did an amazing job! I typically place most of my judgement in a BBQ place solely on their Mac and cheese and corn bread followed by the BBQ. Mac and cheese was flavorful and the cornbread as muffin tops meant that they weren’t a dry mess like other places. Everything we had was amazing! Would highly suggest you reach out for your catering needs. Amy was great to work with!
