me and my bf accidentally went here like 15 mins before kitchen close and the atmosphere was still very welcoming, we did not feel rushed at all. we got great food, our favorite being the dragon roll and the fried rice and received amazing service and hospitality from our server august. 100% will be back again!!

Came in at a little after 5pm on a Saturday to get sushi with my son before seeing a show. Not a soul to be seen. I don’t mean customers…well I do there weren’t any of those either…but no employees of any kind. The rubber mats inside the doorway were stacked up and askew. Half empty cases of beer sitting on the bar as if someone had been interrupted mid stock. Sushi station unlit and empty of any fish. Waited for a couple minutes. Crickets. Walked to the kitchen entrance and hollered back “HELLO? Anyone here?!” Crickets. Waited a couple more minutes, gave another holler and decided to scrap it. Standing in the courtyard my son spots two dudes in the restaurant. They surely don’t look like employees but they came from somewhere within since no one else had been around us to go in so I pop my head back in and ask if they work there. One guy just stares at me saying nothing. Imagine a hardened criminal had been seen unexpectedly in the middle of a robbery and was looking over the bystander wondering if he would go away quietly or if he was going to have to kill the guy so there would be no witnesses. This is exactly the look he was giving. I ask again are you open and second guy nods reluctantly and lets me know they only have Thai food. I say no problem wanted sushi and can’t leave fast enough but the kid gives me insanely detailed directions to Kiku Bistro around the corner. Imagine it’s 1991 and your grandpa is on the landline giving directions to his brother in law how to get to Bakers Square. This level of detail. I appreciated the suggestion that’s why I gave 2 stars for service but the vibes were so off it was crazy. My son asked if we just witnessed a crime and sadly I legitimately could not rule it out. If you’re wondering Kiku was just ok, but miles above this place. I can’t wrap my head around how they could possibly be serving any food here. There were no chefs. No bartenders. No waitstaff. No hostess. Made no sense. Would never come again.

Terrible service. Couldn’t find our server the entire meal. Hot food came out cold. Sushi fell apart with a touch.Staff unapologetic and indifferent. Waste of time and money, will not be coming back.

AVOID AVOID AVOID - I used to go to the old locations when Chris and JR were there. And this isn't even worth trying once. Save yourself the frustration of being told 15 minutes after you ordered an appetizer that the item isn't available. Then it took several minutes to learn they wouldn't make it even with the simple substitution you approved. Then they come back and tell you they are replacing it with a completely different item. No thanks - cancel it. Then the nigiri comes out - wrong item. How you mess up entering salmon nigiri for an order is beyond me. The rice on my roll was vaguely crunchy... never got a napkin. The server was too busy chatting with a couple at the bar to notice the problems. Just avoid it and get some sushi from the grocery store

This place was an amazing find! Food is amazing, the atmosphere makes you feel like you stepped right into a modern version of a Japanese sushi bar. The drinks are delicious and the decor is very inviting and comfortable. Will definitely come back here and suggest you do as well!

I had a really disappointing experience here. We came in around 10:20 pm, well before closing, and weren’t greeted at all. We stood there awkwardly until someone finally acknowledged us, and even then, the energy felt like we weren’t welcome. I understand the restaurant closes at 11, but guests who arrive before closing should still be treated with basic courtesy. We were also told sushi was no longer available, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere. Overall, it felt unprofessional and uninviting. Definitely not the experience we expected.

sean helped us out on our visit and he was such a delight! no sushi chef in the night we visited, but the thai food was delish! he mentioned that he was new, and he handled the rush like a champ. very, very sweet and accommodating. we’re visiting from out of town, but next time we visit we will be coming to see him again 🥳🩷

Went in for a drink early at 8:30pm on a Friday night since most places were closed. Lina served us and we wanted a high noon which was on the menu and when we ordered it some guy at the bar seated as well disclosed he work there and went behind the bar then asked us what we wanted since they didn’t have that. We said tequila and they didn’t have the type we wanted so we just got a White Claw that we noticed. Our friends were in the restroom then the employee who wasn’t working apparently named August was being an aggressive drunk who had no business being at his place of employment with that behavior. We will never be back if that guy is still working there, but Lina was a gem and even tried telling that guy to go home.

Came here for the first time with a friend and had the best first time experience. Food was Incredible. Service was very pleasant and welcoming. The Atmosphere was a straight up VIBE! My friend and I shared the basil fried rice with beef added…. OMG!!!!!! So good. I had the Mama don’t cry Roll which was the only Roll on the menu that was deep fried.. Whew!!!!! So good. August and Khosi who are both bartenders were AMAZING!!! August was also our server. They both held great conversation and Kept us interested. August knew the menu in and out and gave great recommendations. I will be returning, quite often actually…

I had a great time in person. The staff was great. But, when I ordered doordash from this place, they've messed up the order twice. I'd order chicken wings with 5 spice, but I keep getting their base chicken.
