Great wedding venue.
Wonderful venue, so for a wedding, so for a chic party đ
Had our wedding here. Cannot recommend it enough.
Glass House is such a beautiful space to host events in Minneapolis, particularly weddings. I visited earlier this month to attend a wedding with my partner, and we had a great experience at Glass House!! :-) The staff are SO lovely, as everyone from the wedding planning team to the bartenders were accommodating and kind during our visit (s/o to Aries with the security team)! There is a parking lot adjacent to this space, so it makes it easy to get in & out of this venue whether you plan to park or take an Uber or Lyft. Inside of the venue, Glass House is so beautiful, and it seems that the space can be adapted to your vision. The decor inside is stunning as well, as my understanding is that many of the light fixtures are blown glass made within the building. This place is so cool, and I recommend you check them out if you're looking to plan an event!!
The Glass House is an absolutely gorgeous venue. We hosted our annual gala there and it worked out perfectly. The event coordinator was so easy to work with, very responsive and friendly. The bartenders and event team were great to work with the day of our event and really helped to make our event a success.
First time to the venue tonight in the city! Was all great vibes and the speakers in this place are phenomenal! Brando, one of the security guards was great and bartenders did a great job handling the volume.
Context: I had my wedding at Glass House in September 2024. My mother works in the wedding industry (planner & florist) and does 70+ weddings a year, so this review comes from the lens of someone with a deep understanding of the industry.
Iâll start with the good: the space is gorgeous and can be a beautiful canvas for an event. Lauren, the bartenders, and security were all amazing and a pleasure to work with- where things went wrong was when Lauren went on maternity leave (we knew that was coming) and things could have been handled much better in her absence by the Managing Director, Alyssa.
We had the 60-day walkthrough finalizing bar selections, ceremony set up, etc. We were told that we could customize how we hosted the bar: i.e. cap at 50 high noons for example, which we did. After the wedding, we learned these were not tracked at all and the number and cost almost doubled, along with a billing error of 6 extra bottles of pre-ceremony champagne (about $800 for the high noon overage & 6 bottles). Alyssa only mentioned in the emails after the wedding that âwe don't cap individual bar items as that is too difficult to track during serviceâ (again, never mentioned during the 60-day walkthrough, told the opposite). Glasshouse has a POS system, and my mom in 25+ years has only seen this happen once or twice with a venue on accident where they fully corrected it, but never where they had to pay overage after they were told the bar would cap at an amount.
We also agreed at the walkthrough with Alyssa that the ceremony should be facing west, or away from the parking lot and the construction. Day-of, Alyssa was not present, and this was apparently not communicated to the onsite staff member, causing the entire ceremony space to be set up facing the wrong direction. My mom, family, ushers, and day of coordinators had to then scramble to turn 150 seats, archway, florals, and sound equipment completely around. Not to mention the ceremony space was several rows short of chairs, 30+ which were inside at reception tables.
The onsite staff member never introduced herself to the day of coordinators, didnât communicate with them on things like where they put the cupcakes (hint- they were put in a locked alcohol room we didnât have access to that a security guard luckily saw when we asked him), and didnât even stay through the ceremony. We genuinely didnât know who was in charge from a venue standpoint from the start of the ceremony on. While the bar tenders and the security personnel were fantastic, there were things they simply didnât know or couldnât help with.
When communicating these shortcomings to Alyssa, she addressed it by blaming our day-of-coordinators and then confirmed that they were meant to set up facing west (when the onsite staff set everything up facing east), and saying it was? She then replied to the email we sent further detailing everything with some clarifying questions (2 paragraphs worth) with âI appreciate you sharing additional information and suggestions with me. I don't have any additional questions at this time.â - completely ignoring the questions that were asked in the previous email (my mom was hoping to get on the same page with the venue and understand what led to all of this as she potentially would have to coordinate weddings there in the future). Again, this is the Managing Director of Glasshouse that responded like that.
Whatâs most frustrating is that my mom couldnât relax for most of her only daughterâs wedding day and was scrambling when things came up to help fix them because of oversights by Glasshouse. If I have one regret- genuinely itâs that.
Nice venue, be ready to decorate it yourself
We love working in the space and all the ways it can wow clients and their guests. There so many special elements that make it unique!

Gorgeous venue and hospitable staff!
We couldnât have imagined a more perfect venue than Glass House for our wedding day! Just minutes from the North Loop, itâs a stunning location with incredible blown glass fixtures, a beautiful marble bar, a charming courtyard, and so much more. Working with Lauren and Alyssa was an absolute pleasureâthey made everything so seamless and easy, keeping us confident in our choice from day one. The entire staff was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable. We even had a custom-blown glass vase made on-site as a keepsake, allowing us to carry a piece of Glass House with us forever. We wholeheartedly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a truly magical setting and outstanding service!
If you're looking for a wedding venue, this is THE place. We had a phenomenal experience last month at Glass House. From the moment we stepped in, we knew it was the ideal location.
The ambiance was wonderful--the lighting was especially magical, and every corner of every room exuded elegance. Alyssa, Lauren & all their staff were exceptionally helpful, warm, and professional. We could not have asked for a better team to support us on our big day.
The main room provided a stylish, picturesque backdrop for our ceremony and dinner. The outdoor patio was perfect for our social hour, and the layout of both spaces and the bar encouraged mingling and dancing. (Extra big kudos to the great bartenders!)
If you're looking for a venue that combines sophistication and top-notch service, Glass House is the one. They made our special day unforgettable, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Highly recommended!
The sound is terrible. The sounds bounces around and sounds muffled. It is so loud that you have to yell to talk to the person sitting at your table. The room has no character. It is bland and lifeless
A great and modern event space with outdoor space.
