We have been going to this restaurant since it originally opened and have always had great food and service until tonight. We arrived at 8:30 and had a seat at the counter by 8:45 . From the moment we were seated the staff was too busy preparing for the restaurant to close to provide us with any service although we were charged a service fee of almost $5.00 for a glass of wine and beer while we waited for our seats. While our food was delicious, we had to find someone to refill our water and drinks while we watched staff divide their tips. Keep in mind that this was more than 45 minutes before the listed closing time. Does a restaurant’s closing time mean that food is served until that time, or staff is done working 45 minutes before this time. We felt completely unwanted and unwelcome at the restaurant. Watching staff clean up, including moving out of their way so they could clean well in advance of their scheduled closing time, did not make for a pleasant dining experience.

Great food and service. We split a caesar salad and 3 pizzas among 4 people. It was plenty of food for everyone. Really enjoyed the Tavern Pie. Employees were very friendly and helpful when deciding amount of food to get for our group. Will definitely be back to try other pizza options in the future.

The food and service are amazing.Suggest making online reservations before or you may end up waiting for 20-30 minutes during dinner time to be seated as it's normally busy.

Tried the special Allium pizza with goat cheese, 3 cheese Italian blend, olives, and caramelized onions ... It was delicious! The dough is really excellent, crunchy, and airy ... Everything you want from a pizza dough. The price is def not cheap though (over 28$ for one 10'' pizza), and this includes an additional 18% for takeouts.

Good place, however their tip's policie makes no sense. Why pay such a high tip to improve the employees' salaries??. This should be assumed by the owners . The attention of the place is not adequate to pay a tip of 13 dollars for two pizzas

This place is a culinary gem from Chef Ann Kim, who brings her innovative touch to the world of pizza with this charming neighborhood spot. Known for its wood-fired pizzas, the space itself is bright and lively, adorned with a photo booth and a distinctive copper pizza oven named Lola, which adds to the restaurant's quirky and inviting ambiance. The menu at Pizzeria Lola offers a creative spin on traditional pizza, featuring a variety of unique toppings that cater to all tastes. From the classic Margherita to more inventive options like the Korean BBQ pizza, which includes mozzarella, scallions, arugula, sesame, and soy-chili vinaigrette, every pizza promises a delicious and memorable experience. The crust is expertly crafted—airy, slightly charred, and perfectly chewy, thanks to the high heat of the wood-fired oven.Beyond pizza, Pizzeria Lola also serves a selection of appetizers, salads, and desserts, all of which maintain high standards of quality and creativity. The soft serve ice cream, particularly the vanilla with olive oil and sea salt, is a must-try.Pizzeria Lola is not just about great pizza; it’s about a fun, engaging dining experience. The staff is friendly and passionate about their offerings, enhancing the warm atmosphere. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Minneapolis, Pizzeria Lola is definitely worth a visit for anyone looking to enjoy some of the best pizzas the city has to offer.

They have some of the best pizza in the Twin Cities. Very unique flavor combinations and the crust of the pizza is very different than other pizzas I had. Just know they have a 21% gratuity for all bills and no tipping.I would go here again for sure. Also, we had the chocolate dessert that was amazing!

Just went here with my family of 4. Two small kids who eat like birds and my husband and myself who also eats like a bird. 1st the pizza tasted great, I loved the spice, the sauce and crust. They could've done a little more cheese though. The place was very busy but it was Friday night so I wasn't surprised. We decided to order a pizza to go. The gal at the register seemed bugged we were there and that I had questions about their pizzas. The hubs wanted cheese bread and we got a snotty reply that only pizza goes in a woodfire oven. I guess that's common knowledge that everyone knows apparently. It was just very disorganized inside the pizza was only 1 size and not enough to feed a family of 4 even if it tasted good.

Overrated pizza - much better places in the area. If you like paying 30% taxes/fees on your pizza this is your go to place! $6.22 fee on a $22 pizza?
