We got the chicken chow mein, the beef and potatoes, and the egg rolls. The parts that weren't tasteless were swimming in oil so much that I couldn't taste anything else. And not a nice oil, but old stale cooking oil that should have been changed out two weeks ago.
My wife and I were very hungry and normally we can eat most things but neither of us could even finish our meals. We do not recommend.

I’m genuinely confused how this place has a 4.7 rating. The pho broth was incredibly underwhelming it tasted more like lightly salted boiled water with a strange aftertaste, lacking the depth and richness you’d expect from a proper bone broth. I had to load it with basil and sauces just to make it remotely palatable. The portion felt cramped in a small bowl, and the broth was barely warm.
The egg roll was just average, and the chicken wings didn’t stand out either. Overall, the food felt rushed and lacked flavor and care. It’s disappointing to spend money on a meal that didn’t meet even basic expectations. Running a restaurant takes more than just knowing how to cook it requires attention to quality, taste, and experience, which unfortunately were all missing here. If I can give ir a -1 rating for food, I would. So incredibly disappointed.

We just got two orders of egg rolls to go. They are more pricey than they used to be, but we'll worth it. I prefer producing a quality product than finding ways to cut corners and lessening the product.

We’ve been coming here since at least 1988-on our first date. While the inside has been updated, it still has the neighborhood coziness we remember. Top picks, special lo mein, beef and potatoes, hot and spicy chicken, egg roll noodle salad, pho, and as many egg rolls as you can afford to eat. Friendly service is prompt, food is fresh and hot, decor cute and business clean. If you’ve not been here, try it out. Those egg rolls, gluten free, are to die for!

Hearing this was the sister restaurant to Em Que Viet, I had high expectations. I am not sure if this is true or not, but they had the same egg rolls, so I assume they're related in some way.
The location is super convenient for me, but the offerings are far inferior to Em Que Viet. In a mostly empty restaurant, it took us 15+ minutes for a server to come take our order. I had to go to the front and ask for someone to come by. As soon as she did, she just asked if we wanted egg rolls. They must have these premade, as they came QUICK and were just warmer than warm.
Not only was the service poor, but the restaurant felt much dirtier than Em Que Viet. As a Vietnamese man, poor service and an unclean environment can often indicate really good food, but that wasn't the case here. I ordered a shrimp dish and my cousins got the bun thit nuoung, which was solid. I also asked for a side of fried rice, but was served white rice and they tried to charge me for the fried rice.
I have no intention of returning. Pho Mai in dinkytown is better if you're in the area.

This place is a serious gem. AMAZING egg rolls. Get the hot and spicy chicken, too. Family owned and operated, and the people are so nice.

Best eggrolls in MN. Beef and Potato were delicious. Also had the fish sauce wings. They were sweeter than I expected, wish they had a spicy option.

This northeast restaurant, is a gem, known for their (Egg Rolls)
And other dishes so not necessarily hold second place in my opinion, food is excellent. The only draw down is the prices, it’s not longer a neighborhood value catcher, it’s grown up now, and value is found in their food, $$
