Ordered take out from here and the two men that helped me were kind and helpful. I got the beef Kay Kay and the goat with rice and Somali tea. It was all so delicious and the portions are huge! We will have food for days!
CLARIFICATION: I went to the Karmel Mall restaurant by this name in late summer, not sure if it's the same as the restaurant by the same name across from In the Heart of the Beast Theater, since several Somali restaurants have similar names to this one. I wasn't especially hungry, but servers at the order counter explained menu items patiently after finding someone who could speak English well. I ordered a simple soup with cabbage in a cup. It was a bold, spicy, filling...
I bought fish and chicken samosas from Karmel Market Quruxlow grill and bakery. Samosas were wonderful. The quality and teste were excellent. I appreciated cleanliness and the good behavior.
