Still a delightful experience on your way to the downtown area. This little corner of Minneapolis is magical and it will be a real shame to see this place close on December 30 2022. The service is fun and amazing with the delightful staff. And the food is very good. So hurry and visit before they close.
Oh my... What a shame. We used to love this place but COVID has not been kind. We stopped for brunch. Our food was mediocre at best, with barely cooked hash and eggs poached hard. My wife didn't finish her scramble as the eggs were cooked so hard they were dry.To top it off, we saw a mouse run across the dining room... At 11am. The server saw it as well and let us know she would inform the manager but I'm not convinced anything will happen.I will say our server was amazing, doing the best she could in obviously difficult circumstances and was the only server on duty that morning. We won't be back.
Had dinner on Tuesday evening with another couple who had not been to Red Stag before. We had and were excited to share one of our favorite restaurants with them. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, and wine the selection was paired well with our entrees. Our server, Makenna was so delightful and her timing on the service was well paced. Had a great evening. Thank you Red Stag and thank you Makenna.
Great overall first dinner experience. Enjoyed the cheap dinner special that was going on with my wife.Major disappointment, when I asked about the relish plate while pointing on the happy hour menu which was $5. I later found out at the end of dinner that it was $20 with the waiteress telling me that it was not happy hour.Luckily the platter was very enjoyable but really shocked. We ended up paying way more than we were expecting tonight.
Excellent service and excellent drinks. But bland, terrible food. I love every part of the experience besides the food.I ordered the ginger-apricot glazed grilled salmon. It was dry, it tasted like they used frozen fish. The glaze they used was incredibly bland and it didn’t seem like they seasoned it much if at all beyond the glaze. The rice was slightly crunchy and dry. The mushrooms tasted like it was under the heat lamp for too long. The broccolini was rough and hard to eat. The only thing that had any real flavor was the small piece of pepper they added when they plated the dish. The restaurant is gorgeous and they served some incredible drinks. The management seems to care about making sure guests are happy. They’re quick to refill your glass and get things requested. The server had a lot of tables and was on point with it. She worked hard and never stopped to rest it seemed. My partner had a similar opinion about the meal he got. We stopped to grab McFlurry’s on the way home for dessert, sadly we both thought it was the best part of the meal.
Excellent food and craft cocktails. Our waiter, who was also our bartender, was very attentive and took care of us the whole 2 hours we lingered. Lots happening around the location so super easy to find things to do after eating such a delicious dinner.
cute digs and tons of bar seating, you really can't go wrong. their happy hour is fantastic and surprisingly delicious. make sure to get the gravy fries with poutine - they taste just like disco fries from my home state.
Excellent dining! I had the Shrimp Diavolo, which was outstanding without being too spicy. Nice balanced menu, excellent appetizers, good wine selection. The trick is to park in the lot on the corner after 6:00, when it is free.
Went for dinning out for Life. My first time there the food was amazing even though the service was slow but so worth the wait. I had French OnionSoup. Pan Seared Scallops & Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée. I highly recommend all three
Very cool "supper club". Love the moody vibes and the blues music playing. Food was phenomenal, best burger ever! Wait staff was amazing! Only bummer, they were out of 1919 Rootbeer on tap!

We had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding in the Red Stag Club Room. The room was large enough for our group of 30, but still felt intimate. It was the perfect size for our rehearsal. They had a sound system we were able to use to play music and direct participants. Most importantly, the food was terrific, the bar was well stocked, and the service was attentive and accommodating. We went with one of their buffet options but had a couple of people with a lot of dietary restrictions that they were able to accommodate with separate meals. We had a host specifically assigned to us for the evening who was always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Reg Stag was a great place to host our rehearsal dinner. Any couples out there searching for a place to host your rehearsal dinner (or other smaller event), we encourage you to reach out to Red Stag.
My husband & I brought a 97 year old birthday woman for brunch. It was exceptional. We were greeted warmly by the host and the welcomed by Nancy, our waitress. As senior citizens, we look for quality, healthy, tasty food. We found it! I totally recommend the Roasted Vegetable Hash. They accommodated my non- dairy by omitting the egg. It was phenomenal! The taste was exquisite and the portion perfect. It was a delightful experience.
My husband & I had an amazing experience here. The Tuesday night date special is so much fun and a great deal! We love the atmosphere and food. Also, we have tried a ton of different carrot cakes from restaurants/bakeries, & this was easily one of the best we have ever had! We will definitely be back!
Their cocktails were not good. I ordered the blood orange margarita and it tasted like a poorly made, watered down mixed drink. My husband ordered a bourbon old fashion and it was made it with an entire lemon wedge squeezed in the drink. We told the waitress the drink was made incorrectly and she told us that if we ordered another one that she would make sure it was made correctly. We were not comped for that drink, nor did she offer to bring him something different. The food was not worth the price. The beet salad was not a salad, the 40 day aged steak was tough, and the scallops were over cooked and very salty.I would recommend going somewhere else. This supper club does not have great drinks or food.
Got here at noon with a party of 7 on 2/6/22 Waited over 20 minutes to get our drinks and order. Then waited another 50 minutes to get our food. After everyone got their food my food was wrong, and the manager took the plate and told me I’d have to wait another 15 minutes while everyone else waited. After finally getting the replaced chicken and waffles it was overdone and disappointing. And my partners eggs were also wrong but she didn’t want to wait. There is only 3 tables here and we’re waiting this long, how can this place operate when full?Luckily the server was very nice and comped me and my partners meal, but I won’t ever come here again due to this experience. And also I’ll be telling everyone how bad and unprofessional the manager is.Pictures show how empty the place is, and how burnt the chicken was.
