First time ever eating here. In town on business & I have to say ... I AM IMPRESSED with how my service was AND my food. I got the Salmon, did a substitute of Asparagus & Mushrooms vs the fingerling potatoes. I don't say this much, as it seems that not many can cook salmon PERFECT, but this ---- WAS DIVINE! The salad, Salmon, Asparagus & Mushrooms! I will definitely add this to my list of ... I'LL BE BACK!!!

restaurant within hotel Minneapolis. good but not too special.

It's fine. I wouldn't describe it as anything revolutionary. I only eat there for business since it's a very "safe" pick in terms of having both generic food items and enough slightly non-generic food items to not be totally boring. The service is always good as is the general ambiance of the space.

Food was okay. Service abominably slow. I don't think it was the servers fault, but wow. There were only 2 tables in the whole restaurant and my two eggs took about a half hour. Yikes. I guess an okay business breakfast option if you're not in a hurry.

Nice interior (I'm into interior design of hotels) but I talk hockey with the Czech bartender. Decent bar food. Shmoozing with any bartender downtown gives you good discounts.

Drink was good. Steak was over cooked. After letting our server know, nothing was done because 3 bites were taken. Service in general was mediocre. Only came here because of a Groupon while staying in the same hotel.

Three strikes you're out! This was the third time we have tried this place. We live in close proximity and it would be a sweet place for happy hour on our way to Wolves games. Tonight was our third out. Service has always been slow, but we gave it a try anyway. Sat in the bar area ordered drinks which came within 5 minutes much to our surprise. We ordered a burger and grilled cheese and tomato soup. We waited 45 minutes for our order to come. We were just getting ready to cancel the order when our sever brought it out. We took it to go but our server never apologized or seemed to care. I understand that it is not the servers fault for a slow kitchen but it is important to communicate!

I have visited this place about 6 times for lunch. Very rarely I have seen slower service than this place. The food is mediocre. Flat breads are good. Pot Pie couldn't be worse. Priced too high for what the food/service is. Few times I have seen the bar completely unattended. If I happen to go there next time, flat bread is the only thing I will get.

Burger was extremely weak (overcooked and tasteless), and maybe a tad overpriced for the area. Fries were good, but not enough to salvage the meal. Waitstaff was nice enough.

Enjoyed a delicious dinner at Restaurant Max where our server (Brittany) was friendly and attentive. The handsome dining room was nearly empty (on a Friday evening), likely due to an exodus from the city for the Labor Day weekend. The bar was lively with patrons, and there was also a family party in one of the private dining rooms. Spouse ordered chicken marsala which was wonderful and served over polenta. I had broiled walleye, prepared and seasoned expertly, accompanied by a medley of pickled vegetables (asparagus, carrot, onion, cauliflower) and roasted potatoes. A very fine evening.

This is just a review for the bar. We came for happy hour. We ordered and waited and waited for our drinks. She took the couples drink order next to us,after us and delivered their drinks first after a long wait. Then she came back and said "did you drink off those yet" because she had given our wine to them! She thought it was OK to take glasses of wine off another parties table and give them to us!! Come on really!! Not acceptable. We are staying at the hotel here in September and def will avoid the bar.

We stayed here at Hotel Minneapolis for the third year in a row. For a hotel restaurant, the food is very good. I split a hamburger with my wife tonight for dinner. It and the sweet potato fries were great. My mother in law had grilled cheese and the tomato soup that is unusually tasty with a little kick. Service can get a little slow when it's busy, but the staff is always friendly and helpful. It's a good option for an area with limited dinner choices.

So first glance at minimal menu made my expectations low. That was quickly resolved by excellent service and then delicious dishes. Portions perfect. Cooked as ordered. All good!
