Beautiful place to get a cocktail and watch the overlook of the city. The bar setting is great downstairs, but ask a staff member to take you to the top level bar. This place was a great highlight of the eloquent architecture found downtown Minneapolis.

Probably the top of upscale night life experience in Minneapolis. Great views of downtown and nice lounge area. If weather is warm you can enjoy sitting outside. Cocktail are a bit pricy but I understand the reasoning behind it. You will meet some interesting people there for sure. I haven't had food there so I can't say anything about food quality. Overall, great atmosphere Oh I forgot to say that the hot tub is next door and you can see people enjoying the hot tub from the lounge/bar area and some come to the bar to get a drink with their robes!

Visiting from the East Coast and this roof top bar came highly recommended. I ordered an espresso martini and it was delicious! We went during the week. Not sure if you need to be staying at the hotel but an employee was kind enough to scan his key tag on the elevator to let us go. If you're looking for a low key quaint place to enjoy a few cocktails this is it!

Nice atmosphere, but when paying for nice cocktails, receiving them in plastic glassware was very disappointing. The cocktails were not great, but it could have been an off night. I was also surprised the mezcal was not served with an orange slice. Service was quick and the staff was friendly.

Returned to the Hewing Bar & Lounge on our current trip to Minneapolis. It is a fantastic bar, well worth the expense. Josh was my mixologist on this visit, and he is truly a chemist, listening to my request to a Mezcal forward Old Fashioned. It was wonderful. Hewing is one of the best bars in Minneapolis. Ignore that it’s a hotel bar because the Hewing is a Minneapolis one off.

First, the location is amazing and the drinks are very good. The problem is the manager. Because of them I was severely disappointed with the bar.Service was slow but this wasn’t the faculty of the waiters. The manager had hired only 2 people for a very busy night, all tables were super full and people kept coming. Obviously the waiters had to overwork. It took 30 minutes for us to get the check.I think the manager should be better with the schedule to keep service quality high.
Kan de ontwerper mijn huis inrichten? ? Ik hou van deze plek! Mijn man en ik houden van boetiekhotels, vooral in pakhuisdistricten als we reizen. Dit was geweldig! Het was een snel verblijf van één nacht, dus we hebben niet veel van het aanbod geprofiteerd, maar we zouden er zeker weer verblijven!

We verbleven in de Hewing voor speciale jubileumvieringen en het is onze bestemming. Een soort rustige oase in het centrum van Minneapolis, met echt geweldige restaurants op loopafstand. We komen terug!

Het interieur is iets om te zien en als je van ambachtelijke cocktails houdt, zul je super enthousiast zijn over de bars. Het enige wat ik kan bekritiseren is dat het enorm duur is. Met zoveel andere goede opties in de omgeving is dit hotel ongeveer 20% te duur. Een zeldzame uitspatting, maar niet mijn bestemming voor frequente reizen naar Minneapolis.
