My wife and I had Root to Rise cater our wedding this January 2024. From initial outreach to the day of, Heather was extremely communicative and helpful!I wish I had thought to take photos of the food because it was truly a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach!! Just going to play my one busy/hungry bride card for that one.The food itself was absolutely INCREDIBLE!! We are the only vegans but everyone there was raving about it all. We got the winter abundance salad, quinoa zucchini fritters, MN lions mane mushroom soup (TO DIE FOR and my absolute favorite!), and the penne rustica.Thank you Heather and team for creating a gorgeous and delicious plant based meal that wowed every single person there and made our special day even better!I am looking forward to our next trip to Minneapolis so we can try out their new restaurant Hi Flora!

We would choose RtR a million times over. Everything from initial planning to the day of our wedding was seamless with Heather + team. It seems like everything went wrong that day except the catering, Root to Rise is so professional and prepared, they really saved our day.We wanted vegan food that was safe for our daughter with multiple food allergies, safe for our friends with nut allergies, and would appeal to our omnivore guests and this team DELIVERED! The food was insanely good, we got so many compliments and months later, our friends are still raving about it. Our toddler, who has never eaten food not prepared by us due to her allergies, ate everything safely. The food was unique and delicious and seamlessly catered. Heather really went above and beyond to create a perfect menu. A+++++!

We used R2R for our wedding caterer. There were some hiccups as this was one of the first major event they did, but the food was all everyone could talk about. My Omni family still talk about how good the jackfruit wings were!

The Mac n cheese eggless rolls are an instant fav - everything they serve is so worth it!

Heather catered my husband's and my out-of-town wedding in June 2022, and the food was beyond incredible!! We are huge Root to Rise fans, but the food at our wedding was even more amazing than we could have imagined.While my husband and I are vegan, the majority of our family and friends are not. It was really important to us to share our love of vegan food with our family and friends - and our family and friends are still raving about it!!Our menu included pesto lollipops and a beautiful cheese and fruit platter, summer abundance salad, caesar salad, heirloom tomato lasagna, and strawberry infused kelp ramen. I just wish we had more photos of the beautiful food!It was great to work with Heather throughout the wedding planning process, and we appreciated her ideas on how to keep our wedding low-waste and locally-focused - we loved having the option for compostable and reusable plating and silverware. Heather was also very communicative and easy to work with despite having a really busy summer of events!Thank you, Heather! You are amazing!!

The mushroom shawarma and squash hash were absolutely amazing!!

I tried the food at a tent at Pride, and I loved the Mac and cheese veggrolls. So delicious, and a perfect texture. The people were also extremely friendly and kind.

This place is off the walls good. If you are gluten free, vegetarian like me there is nothing better than a place like this where everything is suited for my diet. First thing that needs to be discussed is the bread. I don't eat gluten free bread or bagels cause for the most part they really stink. I have found some decent sliced bread but nothing artisan and gluten free bagels are an abomination normally....not here!! The bread loaves are really close if not as good as normal bread. The sourdough is particularly amazing. The bagels are also really good. We usually buy a dozen and freeze all the extras. The hummus' are all great and the prepared salads and noodles are also really very good. There might be better restaurants around but not any that are gluten free/vegetarian. If you are gluten free and miss bread there is hope for you here.

I always love Root to Rise’s food at their pop-ups at farmers markets and dinners. Their mac and cheese egg rolls and jackfruit wings are amazing. This year I purchased their Thanksgiving dinner, and it was so good. I’m so glad I didn’t bother cooking because their food was way better than anything I would’ve made.
