Love the location and great coffee. I really liked their house-made syrups. Highly recommend this place.

Royal Grounds is a pretty cozy little coffee shop, nestled along Grand Ave in Uptown Minneapolis. The coffee is delicious, water is plentiful, and the snacks are too notch. I appreciate that the shop discourages tips in favor of a fair wage for all employees. The decor is also quite unique and fun, especially in the bathroom.

I notice some employees are gone and there is at least one new. I was trying to be patient while they learn but I'm giving up on this place because my drink is wrong more often than not. I get excited to go once a week and splurge on a fancy coffee but I'm being robbed because they charge me for a large and give me a small, use the wrong kind of milk, or make it hot instead of iced. If you have time to waste then this place is fine but I'm gonna be late to work again if they keep having to remake everything.

If you love the era of independent lil neighborhood coffee shops from the 90s, which I do, this is the place for you. It actually has an atmosphere!!!!Stumbled across this place because it was the only open place close to my gym that was open at 6am on a Saturday. I didn't know my gym wasn't open until 7, this spot was a very nice surprise. It felt like I was walking back into 1996, with a bit of a price adjustment, it would have fit right in during that time. Which is unsurprising when I discovered they'd been around that long and managed not to become a star or deer clone.Support YOUR local!!!!Keep you $$ in the place you live!!!!Love this spot.....That is allWheelchair accessibility: Ramos and wide doors to the restrooms

The owner is extremely abusive with his employees. He belittles them constantly and recently removed tipping and increased prices without increasing his employees' wages.

Really good Americano in a nice location.

I love this little coffee shop. The staff are super friendly, professional, but quick and to the point. I've seen them even chatting with some customers who seem to want that-couldn't be me (seriously, they are very friendly ^.^ ). Their espresso is delicious, they have a nice selection of coffee and non coffee drinks, and they have reasonable prices, especially given the no-tip culture this store has adopted. To top it all off, they have banana bread, with NO NUTS! AND it has chocolate in it, to boot!Dietary restrictions: They have multiple options for non-dairy milk, including oat milk.

Tip top community coffee shop. Not the most elite coffee (it's good, but there's better in the area), but you can't beat the vibe & people. Hope it stays forever.
